Rating Disputes
As you all know, we recently worked very hard on editing every player's ratings to make them as fair as possible. While we tried as hard as we could to mirror real life, it's far from perfect, and these ratings won't exactly mirror real life. We strove for perfection, but obviously knew that wouldn't be possible as far as ratings go.
So, while there may be a few (or maybe a lot) of players who may be under or over rated, these are the final ratings. We will not be taking any rating disputes and will not be changing any ratings form this point on. The ratings posted are the final ones.

Re: Rating Disputes
Just a question. To rougly figure out the FG%s we can look at last year NBA shooting percentages as you tried to nearly mirror the reallife shooting abilities?

Did you guys alter profile ratings or were they left as is? Just curious as Derrick Rose's durability is through the roof, Lopez above 50, Bogut high and some others I have noticed so thinking they might not have been altered?

Ha, forgot you are Chicago.
Not a dispute and am not asking them to be updated. Just wondering if profile ratings were touched and using a couple of examples.

Profile ratings were for the most part untouched.

Re: Rating Disputes
Yes, we are still looking at one particular option and a setting it up. We will probably have our own domain name and forum set up so we can customize it a lot more than before.
As for the ratings, the admin team targeted a few things, one of which was shooting percentages. We wanted realistic offenses, and so I actually tested and tweaked the rosters several times until we had offenses league wide that were similar, on average, to NBA offenses. We were also looking for statistical anomalies that stood out in terms of ratings we messed up on. In the first ratings test, a number of big men who averaged less than a steal per game in real life were posting 2+ steals per game. That's one example of things we were fixing.
While individual player statistical accuracy was something we were trying to attain, we recognized that we were never going to create a roster set that reflected each individual player. But if we strove for that, we were likely to create a roster set on the whole that would reflect the NBA on a larger scale. Perhaps John Doe wasn't going to produce the same A/TO ratio he posted in real life, but the league wide A/TO ratio was in line with real life.
