Re: TOR | OKC | CLE
Toronto confirms the trade.
Took a long time. I think I exchanged 100 private messages over this deal but both OKC and CLE were great to deal with in regards to negotiations. Had some good chats.
I know we discussed Jefferson with a few other teams but we think this one was best for us. Gortat is 30 and comes with 4 years but we still save a little bit of cap and he should be able to contribute okay this season and beyond. The picks help us rebuild without our pick really since being 2 and 18 without means we need to rebuild via other avenues.
All the best to both teams going forward.

Re: TOR | OKC | CLE
OKC agrees.
As soon as I discovered that I owned DAL 1st pick, I started looking at some scenarios to improve your team for this year.
Basically we're sending former All-Star Millsap along with that pick (lottery pick if the season ended now) to have another former All-Star in Al Jefferson and young shooter Reggie Bullock.
We feel Big Al, along with Smith and Howard, is the best interior rotation in the league. Millsap was great, but Al is taller, stronger, can play C effectively (backing up Howard) while splitting PF time with Smith. We're going to miss Millsap's OREB ability as he was doing ok pulling down offensive boards, but Jefferson can also rebound at the defensive glass, and is another rim protector to our team.
Bullock was a player which I was targeting since acquiring George. I don't know how well he's going to do in our lineups but I feel he can become a good starter next to PG for us at the wing with his shooting ability. If we need a defensive winger we can slide Brewer to the starting lineup and Bullock goes to the bench.
Overall Kemba / Brewer / PG / Josh / Howard - Barea / JR. / Bullock / Williams / Al is a great 10 man rotation. That much depth can only help a team win games as we have starting quality players on our bench.
Of course, once again, there is only one ball at the court, but I think they can share it pretty nicely. Question of developing chemistry and understanding how to play as a team, because the talent is there.

Re: TOR | OKC | CLE
Cle Agrees.
Milsap is a very good scorer/defensive player in this league, and I was lacking a good scoring big man. Shannon Brown is a solid off the bench guy with good defense and a small contract for the next 3 years. Gortat was solid but really wanted a +70 scorer at the big man position, and should work out well with Anderson and Mitchell.
