#13 Washington Wizards vs. #8 Chicago Bulls

Analysis: The key to the Wizards’ win was simply Derrick Rose fouling out. The whole Bulls offense revolves around him taking a majority of the shots and being a great facilitator, but when he only plays 29 minutes, the Bulls don’t have much of a chance. There isn’t a single solid backup guard capable of running the offense, and it showed. John Wall torched the D for 26 points while shooting over 50%. The underdog Wizards will move on to play either the #2 or #3 seed - can they end their run by bringing home the trophy?

#3 Utah Jazz vs. #2 Portland Trailblazers
RESULT: Portland Trailblazers WIN, 131-98

Analysis: Who the hell scores 130 points on Utah’s defense? I don’t think it’s ever been done before, but Damian Lillard just pulled it off. Lillard put up 46 points on 75% shooting, while star power forward Derrick Favors failed to match it, only scoring 19 points, a game high for the Jazz. 98 points wins the Jazz a majority of games they play simply because of their stifling defense, but Portland came to play today with one of the greatest offensive showings of the tournament, shooting 60% overall. The Blazers will move on to the finals!
