League File
Just throwing this out there: how often do you guys download the league file to scour over box scores, adjust strategies or anything else? Personally, I download the file only when I am looking to make a change to my roster, depth chart, rotation or strategies. Other than that, my utilize the HTML provided.
I think I need to make an effort to game plan more often for upcoming opponents. That is something I have never done in the regular season and think it has held this team back. I blame Paul Silas...

Talent is only half the equation from what I've learned. My team has underachieved with good talent (Deron/Melo/Sanders last season), while LAC had some bum off the street starting at SF and had a historical season in 2012. This season my goal is to construct the best team I can this offseason, be it 1 trade or 100, and then really try and gameplan.

Re: League File
I use a universal gameplan and don't bother changing it much in the regular season based on opponents (unless it's like a huge game, may make some small adjustments here and there). It's also hard to do so since sometimes you play two games in a sim, and you can't change it mid-sim.
In the Playoffs it's definitely worth changing it up though. Like I personally don't use much zone but played it extensively in the Finals.

I know the playoffs is a totally different beast. In my brief stint in the NLL, I was switching up my game plan with each and every game it seemed like. The changes may not have been drastic, but they were changing. Maybe this year I'll be in a position to make playoff strategy decisions.

I download pretty much every time lol... I'm kind of a stat nerd and always look into that stuff.

Depends really. If you were coasting then not a lot or if you needed to press, maybe changes more often.
For trading then grab the latest for stats and as OP said, during the playoffs yes but for regular season, unless needed or a change required, not as often.
