What does everyone do for a living around here?

I'm a lowly middle school teacher. The only reason I feel "lowly" right about now is because I wanted to snap on kids after school today lol. I know middle school is easily the worst age to teach, but something about them make me enjoy being around them...until they act like they did today lol. On top of teaching, I'm the varsity basketball coach at my hometown high school.

Well some of you already know this but I'm a store manager for Starbucks Coffee. I have been with them now for 13 years…yes I'm the old man on this site. When people ask me what I do for a living I say I'm a legal drug dealer.

I work for a company called VWR International on site at Intel's Hillsboro location. I work in the fab (where they make all the Intell goodies at) cleaning the parts that are used in these tools worth millions. The parts I handle are easily worth up to 20k for just one part...with kits going as high as 45k.

It's a pretty sweet gig, I work every Thursday, Friday, and Saturday, while working every other Wednesday (worked this Wednesday). Being able to have 3 and 4 day weekends is awesome. If I request 3 days off, it turns into 10 days off. Although, I do work 12 hour days, 7AM to 7PM, but it's not that bad at all.

Adjunct instructor in English, switching between UNLV and College of Southern Nevada as opportunities open up. This might be my last semester though, depending on if I can make the first step to transitioning into human resources starting in the fall. Won't find that out for a few weeks yet, though.

I work in outsourcing industry for a company called arvato. We are based on a Microsoft site in Dublin - MS being our client. So I manage a few projects and teams here. It's quite challenging and has its ups and downs but I like it overall. I really have no job description and I get to do pretty much what I want as long as I make money for the company so its cool Smile

Occupations Be-a-lawyer-they-said

That's just my part time job though, for the shekels. I'm actually a pimp by trade. Also by lawyer I mean 1st year corporate bitch. Gonna go into criminal I think long term, maybe immigration. Queen's/U of T were where I did my formal education and the streetz is where I learned my craft. I'm 23, not sure why my profile says 22.

I was in finance but dabbled in real estate for a while which has done well so currently not working. Might do a bit of travelling soon before going back to something later in the year.

Wait you guys haves JV middle school team? In my city we have three middle schools that combine to make one mediocre team that finishes under .500 every season. If we attempted to make a JV team it would be abysmal lol. Reason being most of the good players are academically ineligible. Oh the joys of teaching in an urban district.
