MIA sends: Tyson Chandler
GSW sends: Zach Randolph, #17

MIA sends:
Chandler - $14,596,888

GSW sends:
Randolph - $$16,500,000
17th overall pick

MIA accepts. It was really tough to deal Chandler, who's been great for us these past two seasons (had him since day 1), but with Thomas/Hawes needing new contracts, as well as Shumpert needing an extension after this year, there was no way we could keep him financially.

Plus, he's 31 and expiring, and with the logjam in our frontcourt (and young guys like Jones III deserving of minutes), he was sadly the odd man out.

In the end, we decided to get what we could for him and add a mid-first rounder on a cheap deal. Hopefully we can make the post of the draft pick.

Good dealin' GSW.

Warriors ACCEPT. Randolph was never in our plans, would have been buried on the bench. With little to no scouting, wasn't interested in keeping the pick. Chandler will be a great fit alongside Kanter/Lee, his defense and high FG% will help us out a lot. We might have Robinson and Dieng that need minutes as well, but Chandler will likely only be here for one season. He makes our frontcourt a lot better for the time being.
