Great value for DET at 11 IMO. Love the pick and the trade to attain it.

Dylan now killing himself?
Ellis is great pick up at #11, he could have been gone already way earlier.

Wasn't in love with Ellis and glad that I wasn't because if I was, I would have waited and grabbed him at 12 and feel like Dylan does right now. He was a little too short for my liking and didn't bring the stretch ability I need in my PF playing next to Anthony Davis.

I tried like hell to make a move for this pick and this player. Came up short though.

But you must understando me i got rid of jamal and wilson's contracts for Jerebko which is same value as Jeff.
Only BOS offered me more... but he finally refuse our deal because of Dylan's 9th pick

Wasn't a jab at you at all. Just saying, I tried to get the deal done. When we realized the original trade would have worked, Detroit had beat me to the punch. It's all good.

Re: Pick 11th - Round 1 - Washington Wizards
With the 11th overall pick, the Washington Wizards select...
Perry Ellis, Power Forward out of the University of Kansas. Moments after the pick, it was announced that the pick would be traded in a deal to the Detroit Pistons.
The Pistons GM had this to say about the deal, "We were very fortunate to be able to make this move with GM Querejeta and are very excited to have Perry [Ellis] join the team. We feel we have a great core to run with this season with a mix of young guys and our vets and feel like Perry can bring that amount of versatility that we missed slightly last year. Perry should fit right into this group and contribute from Day 1. We are very excited right now."
Perry Ellis figures to be a stretch four who doesn't quite have a single position, but can play both forward positions. He will need to bulk up some, but has the back to the basket playing ability that could someday make him a starting Power Forward with the proper instructions. There were a couple other players that GM emplep was after with this next few picks, but with Ellis sliding down this far, the GM decided it was time to step in and take a risk on the player. Full details of the trade were released prior to the selection of the pick and the Pistons cap situation takes a slight hit, but the GM thinks it was well worth the risk of being able to select a player of Ellis' caliber who they feel was Top 8 worthy.
Ellis proved to be a solid player in the Pre-Draft Tournaments and graded out similarly to Phoenix's Anthony Bennett who was taken third overall and is also more of a tweener. Many feel that Ellis might be the safer bet out of the two players, although Bennett has more upside if he is given the time, which he should get in Phoenix. Either way, Ellis brings an athletic forward to the Pistons which will help spell Carmelo [Anthony] and Larry [Sanders] and possibly one day be the starting power forward for the Pistons. Time will tell.

He's 6'8, which can work for the PF spot, but he'll need to add weight. Not seeing him as a SF TBH - I don't think he has the jumper needed for that, and his strongest shot appears to be inside if the combine is correct. IMO Bennett is a 3 and Ellis is a 4 as ideal positions.

Re: Pick 11th - Round 1 - Washington Wizards
I definitely can't see him playing small forward and a stretch-4 doesn't seem very reasonable either. My scouting report showed he was an aggressive offensive rebounder with an inside game. His shooting ability seemed suspect for a power forward of his height.
