Round 2 - Pick 36 - Golden State Warriors
With the 36th Pick, the Golden State Warriors select...
Jordan Adams, UCLA.
At this stage of the draft, the Warriors didn't have many needs, if any at all. In the backcourt you have the likes of obvious starters Stephen Curry and Eric Bledsoe, with Burke coming off the bench. Klay is rumored to be sliding to the 3 spot, which leads us to believe its only a matter of time before he's moved back to his natural position. Behind him will be a former teammate of Burke's, recent draftee, Glenn Robinson out of Michigan. Then in the frontcourt you see Tyson Chandler, Enes Kanter, and David Lee. So where was it the Warriors were going with this pick ? Their scouts did a poor job this year, quitting on the team rather early in the season, so it's not as though there was plenty to choose from. With no real scouting info to make an analysis from and no real positional need to address, the Warriors did what was natural. They picked a guy who they've seen play for many years, a player who has played most of his games just 350 miles north of Oakland. This kid is known to be a "sharpshooter" who should fit right in with the splash brothers. Even though he won't see much playing time, if any at all, down the line he could turn out to be a great role player. So, with nothing to go off of, the team went with what was natural by selecting in-state prospect Jordan Adams, Shooting Guard out of UCLA. Jordan will be wearing the same colors he wore in college once again at the professional level. Learning how to play in the pros behind 3pt leaders Stephen Curry and Klay Thompson is a perfect situation for the "catch and shoot" Adams. He should be a pretty great fit too. He has great size at 6'5" 220lbs, which can almost be thought of as a mix between Klay and former teammate Harrison Barnes, minus a few inches. Either way, the addition of Adams only significantly bolsters a tremendously talented backcourt. Whatever the team has thrown their way this season, as of now....seems as though they'll be able to handle anything.

Thanks man, I made the picks as sooooooooon as I saw the PM and my emails....didn't realize I had 2nd round picks honestly, so its my fault. But I made the picks as fast as I could, pretty blind to be honest but Adams was the one left that sounded pretty nice.

Considered Adams for his shooting.

Good shooter, not much else. Solid at this point I think, especially considering limited scouting information.
