- Dynasty Tracker -

I think it could be interesting to keep track of the franchise achievements trough the years.
We're about to start the third season, and CSLs history books have already started getting thicker.

There can only be one champion each year, but it's also true that there's some franchises that manage to be there in the mix for a bunch of years, something like the Spurs in the NBA.
There's also franchises going from contending to total rebuilding mode, and not everyone takes the same amount of time going up again.
Finally there's also teams that never seem to start being relevant or able to reach the playoffs.

With this kind of tracker, I think we could manage to get some kind of idea of how each season went, and more importantly the evolution of every franchise trough the years.

This are the points assigned to each accomplishment:

Points wrote:CSL Title: 50 points
Eliminated in..
..the Finals: 35 points
..Conference Finals: 25 points
..2nd Round: 15 points
..1st Round: 8 points
Division Title: 12 points
#Wins: 1 point per win

All-Star
Player selection: 1 point
MVP: 3 points

Season Awards
MVP: 5 points
Coach of the Year: 3 points
GM of the Year: 3 points
Defensive Player: 3 points
ROY: 3 points
6th Man Award: 3 points

I think I gave +1 win to one team, but can't find out which. If anyone finds out let me know and I'll update it, same as any other mistake you could find.

It's not really my idea, I first saw it @NSL and borrowed it from there.

Willing to se how the second year went after the season awards. Houston's definitely going up to the top10 for sure

Yeah I hope so, the key though is sustaining that longevity of being a relevant franchise.

Some go thru a short trial/ miss the Playoffs then become relevant again, while some remain in obscurity as you stated.

Some even go from being a premiere franchise them into obscurity for a while so definitely good to keep track of team/ GM history.

Overall:

Awesome stuff Jamal - sucks that we're stuck behind Miami in our division - never a chance for that division title. Also no love from the All-Star game or any of the awards hurts us, but happy to see the jump in the Dynasty Tracker for my boys!

These are the Charlotte Bobcats we're talking about people!

EDIT #2 - Interestingly, there are 5 teams from each conference in each division of this chart.

Honestly probably saying this because I was just fortunate enough to win GMOY, shouldn't it be added to the Dynasty Tracker as MVP and COY are listed as the GM and Coach have direct Iinfluence on the team and its players in garnering the points?

Love this article idea and yeah it definitely gives teams goals to reach for during their tenure with an organization. Proud of the jump made by our franchise and hope to continue to be as successful as possible and possibly look forward to the challenge of one day moving on to the challenge of doing the same with a bottom tiered organization just as some GM's do irl, committed to the Rockets though!

It already is, look at the last column of the Season Awards, GMOY, and the 3 points go to.. Houston!

Thanks for this. Really great to have a tracker like that. Perhaps it coild be embedded into the home page somewhere.

As for POR - we are 19th at this stage so, this year, it is time for us to kick off our Get to Green plan :-)
