POR sign Luke Ridnour

We are happy to announce the signing of Luke Ridnour to a 2 year deal with a player option for a second year. Luke brings in intelligence, shooting and 11 years of veteran experience.
Last season we made a mid-season change to add a veteran point guard to our backcourt in Steve Nash. We believe that this worked out very well for us. Having a player with a lot of experience in the backcourt and the locker room has really made a difference. Nash decided to retire at the end of last season so we were looking to bring in a similar presence to our backcourt. While Luke Ridnour is not Steve Nash, he is a veteran player who knows his role. He is not coming in to play heavy minutes, we are looking at him as a mentor to our young core as well as a key backup at the point guard position. We see him fitting in nicely and are confident that he can run the team and give Damian Lillard a few minutes of rest here and there

Good to see the former Oregon Duck return to the state of Oregon to perhaps finish his career.
