After many suitors, Thabo Sefolosha has made a decision. With eight teams coming after him, some harder than others, he has decided to sign with the Atlanta Hawks! The Hawks offered him the full MLE at $5,000,000 per year. Other teams offered the same amount of money, but Atlanta was willing to pony up the guaranteed years, giving him a 4-year contract with a player option at the end of it. The total deal will be worth $20,000,000 at the end of the four years. Our client is ready to get to Atlanta and work with his new teammates and meet his new GM BlackIce.

Stuckey and now Thabo? Now a 3rd string shooting guard is getting paid 3 m/yr. Seems a little odd. I wonder if ATL just didn't expect Thabo to sign with them, so they moved on to Stuckey...

Stuckey is our 3rd string PG/SG/SF while Thabo is our backup SF and will see minutes at SG as well. We were careful to make that clear to both agencies.

Nice one. Top defender, great pickup for a upcoming team like Atlanta. Will help a lot come Playoff time, can even grab a starting spot because of his D, depending on the matchup. Very nice. Congrats

Great asset. I would have offer around $4m, but with all the cap strapped teams, you had to figure the full MLE would get thrown around.
