Boston - Utah (feat SterlingCooperDraperPryce)
Boston Sends
Tyrus Thomas - $9,388,430
Fab Melo - $1,403,026
ATL 1st 2015
BOS 1st 2017
Total - $10,711,456
Utah Sends
Gordon Hayward (S&T) - $13,000,000
UTA 1st 2016
Total - $13,000,000
Gordon Hayward's New Contract
Year 1 - $13,000,000
Year 2 - $13,000,000
Year 3 - $13,000,000
Year 4 - $13,000,000
Year 5 - $13,000,000 (player option)
Total - $65,000,000
Boston accepts.
What to say. Wallace wasnt the future and Melo was stuck behind three other guys. So they were expendable. Swapping Utahs first for Atlantas first seems to be okay, both teams will be top teams the upcoming seasons. Addings our 2017 first seems to be a good gamble. We believe we arent a lottery team anymore in 2017 (if we are, believe me, I'll shoot myself). Hayward is a great addition and will step in as our starting SG. We know its likely a little overpay, especially considering what IT and Iggy got, but its worth it to get a young stud like Gordon. On top we lose nearly no capspace for next offseason (only ~1.5 million).
Boston looks forward to start the season with Schröder - Hayward - Bazz - Young - Len.
Anyway, great dealing SCDP, great dealing daprable.

Ok, had to edit. Utah changed mind and wants Tyrus Thomas instead of G. Wallace..
We are still okay with it. We believe giving up capspace, trading down (ATL for UTAH / + trading out of a great deep roleplayer class), giving up a pick which should be decent (2017 BOS) and a great backup C (melo), is it worth it to nab Hayward.
Again.. good dealing daprable.

This meets with the approval of our agency and is in line with Gordon's wishes.
