Pacers in:
Brendan Haywood: 2,050,000
B.J. Young: 492,548
2016 1st [CHA]
2016 2nd [CHA]
Total: 2,542,548

Bobcats in:
Goran Dragic: 7,500,000

Charlotte has the cap space to absorb Goran Dragic's contract.

Indiana accepts. The motive here was to create some $5 million in extra cap space, but we are very happy with the return we were able to get. Brendan Haywood is an experienced defensive-minded veteran center who averaged 7.6 points and 7.2 rebounds a game last season for Charlotte. We have invested just $3 million in two starting caliber centers in Haywood and Chris Kaman this season, leaving more to spend in other areas. We also like B.J. Young, and while he probably spends a lot of time in the D-League this season, we have high hopes for him moving forward. The draft picks are a good addition as well. It was great dealing with the Charlotte GM!

We are THRILLED to add Dragic. Not only is he one of our favorite players in real life, he is a dynamic combo guard on a great contract in-game as well. We had roughly $12.5m in cap space prior to this trade and are left with roughly $7.5m afterwards, but when it became obvious that we were going to whiff on one of our main free agent targets we decided to pull the trigger.

We anticipate our lineup being a full 10 players deep with a variety of ways to score.

We wish Haywood and Young the absolute best. As most of you are aware, Haywood battled some serious frontcourts as our starting C in the playoffs last year and I have to give him the nod. We made the ECF with Brendan starting against Hibbert and Gortat/Jordan. Pretty impressive.

That being said, Haywood became 3rd string with our trade for Asik and acquisition of Varejao. Young really never got a chance in CHA due to our playoff aspirations, but should tear up the D-League for IND.

Great dealing Biz - excited to see what you do with your squad.
