Dirk heads to Indiana via Sign and Trade
Dirk Nowitzki will be joining Kobe Bryant and LeBron James and the Indiana Pacers, as he agreed to a sign and trade between the Nuggets and Pacers on Wednesday morning.
The deal is for four years and $40 million, at $10 million a year.
"I think our team is going to be real good. We have a lot of talent. Kobe and LeBron are two of the best players in all of the CSL, and I think this is a bit of a dream team. It should be a lot of fun." Dirk said during an interview.
Dirk averaged around 17 points and 7 rebounds last season as a member of the Nuggets.

Re: Dirk heads to Indiana via Sign and Trade
The Pacers are equally thrilled to nab Dirk Nowitzki!
We trade Darren Collison, Gerald Henderson, and a pair of 1st round picks for Dirk and a pair of 2nd rounders, but it is well worth it, and we have a Big Three of Lebron James, Dirk Nowitzki, and Kobe Bryant, surrounded by a supporting cast that can hold its own! Welcome Dirk Nowitzki!
Dirk's deal is a four-year $40M contract with a team option on the final year.
$10,000,000 / $10,000,000 / $10,000,000 / $10,000,000 (TO).
This sign-and-trade immediately follows the signing of Kobe Bryant.

Haha - OMG - This is hysterical
Kobe & Dirk obviously make you instant contenders, but both have such high SCR rating it will definately water down LeBron a bit. Still, PF was your biggest hole and you just plugged it with a HOF lock.
We'll done sir.

Nuggets made out like bandits in the trade. It's perhaps the best haul I've ever seen in a S&T.

Who's gonna play PG for that team man?

Lebron will be handling the ball quite a bit, but Jarrett Jack isn't a slouch. I think he can handle point guard duties.Marcos_Beck (OKC) wrote:Who's gonna play PG for that team man?

Oh yeah. Forgot about Jack.
Nice team on paper, 3 future HOF.. the Celtics won the NBA with less than that.
Still, it will hurt so much your team long term. I would not do it.

Re: Dirk heads to Indiana via Sign and Trade
Well, you're probably contenders this year with the most notable big 3 since Bosh, Wade and LeBron teamed up, but still, you sacrificed your team's future to do it.
I could definitely see you taking the #1 seed this year if you can get a solid center and a point guard on min contracts.

4yrs? Huge for my fellow. Believe it could Happen that he retires before his contract ends.
Actually the team looks like a team of "names". Cant see Dirk/Kobe/LBJ fit together. Its the opposite of teams like SA, NYK, BOS or PHX.
DQ did great work! Pretty impressive trade for them!

Let LeBron run the point...I would. Put Jack at SG or SF, hah hah.

Once I won a championship in a DDSPB2 league with LeBron running the point.

Nuggets definitely got a great return in that deal. They went from renouncing Dirk to getting a legit haul for him. Good job by Denver.
Dirk is being overpaid and will not play out the four years but Indiana is in a win-now mode and will be for the next four years.
