Memphis-Boston
Boston sends:
Gerald Wallace $10.105.885
Memphis sends:
Tayshaun Prince $7.707.865 (7.707.865 x 1.5 = 11561797)
Deal accepted by Memphis because Prince isn't getting a lot of playing time and I think Gerald Wallace would fit better into my system. I think he could be a real weapon for my team.

Re: Memphis-Boston
Boston accepts.
We wanted nothing for Crash in return. He wouldnt have seen any playing time for us anyway because we want to develope our young guns, Memphis now starts a legit starting five with Thornton, Wallace, Randle, Gooden and they just need a PG to make some noise. Not owning their pick it makes sense.
Good dealin Memphis.

Invalid trade. It's 1.25, not 1.5.
7707865 x 1.25 = 9634831
7707865 x 1.25 = 9634831

Salary Cap - 60,980,505
Luxury Tax - 71,121,910
Luxury Penalty 1 - 76,811,663
Luxury Penalty 2 - 82,956,595
Hard Cap - 90,000,000
The trade is okay as it is, because:
1. Memphis is below the Luxury Tax, so they are allowed to take back 150% salary
2. They got enough Cap anyway
Cap: 60,980,505 - 53,365,771 = 7,614,734
Wallace - Prince = 10,105,885 - 7,707,865 = 2,398,020
Cap left after trade: 7,614,734 - 2,398,020 = 5,216,714

Re: Memphis-Boston
Just a random example. There was a new rule introduced. As soon as you are below the Lux-Tax you are allowed to take back 150% (like in the real NBA).
Example CHA - Knicks trade. Anyway its irrelevant because Memphis uses some of its capspace to get it done.

New York trades:
Omer Asik - $8,374,646

Re: Memphis-Boston
When was that? I don't see it in the League Ideas forum or the CBA? And it's a pretty stupid rule IMO when every other league ever uses the 125% rule.

You should let the commishs handle things like this. Just my opinion.

Ah. That explains why 3 was suddenly allowing all those trades that weren't legal in 1 or 2. Makes sense. Fair enough.

Re: Memphis-Boston
I don't know what you people are arguing about. It's only 125% if you're in the luxury tax, otherwise it's 150%. Check the NBA CBA, that's how it works.
