Tonight: Mila Kunis vs. Miley Cyrus
Who's Hot?
Utah Jazz (5-1)
What a great SIM last night for daprable and his Utah Jazz. Everybody knows there is some beef between CSL-Tonite reporter Dennis and Utah Jazz GM daprable, but we have to honor what he is doing with the Jazz.
Until yesterday the Jazz didnt play any great teams, but with beating Houston and Portland at home, they showed they are able to get the win against big teams.
Derrick Favors is playing great so far, averaging 26 points, 11 rebounds, 1.5 steals and 2.8 blocks while hitting 54% of his attempts.
Denver Nuggets (5-0)
The only unbeaten team is Denver. Most of us didnt expect something like this would happen, especially because they already had some tough games, facing teams like Oklahoma, Utah or Minnesota.
For now it seems the Mile High City is an invulnerable fortress. You could say its a team without a real star, but they got their "big 3" with Monroe, Holiday, Pekovic and a pretty deep bench with guys like Henderson, Hickson and KCP.
Monroe will miss the next SIM due to a sore foot, so lets see if Hickson steps up to protect the zero in the loss column.
Andrew Wiggins
Who would have expected Orlando will win games against playoff contenders like Golden State or Brooklyn. I believe nearly nobody. But this kid is just too good.
He just played six games in the league, but he already looks like an allstar. Last night goikiri and his Brooklyn Nets got to know what Andrew is able to do. Wiggins put up 38 points, 6 rebounds, 3 assists and 4 steals in 31 minutes while hitting 17 of his 30 attempts. This kid will be a superstar damn soon!
Honorable mention: Washington, Bulls, LAL
Who's Not (Hot)?
Minnesota Timberwolves (2-3)
They had a tough schedule so far, but they already lost their game against New York at home. On top their wins at home against Portland (4 points) and Milwaukee (5 points) werent really satisfying.
Looking at the team, no player is actually able to play up to his potential. Love should put up 20/10 every night pretty easy, but actually he averages 15/10. Maybe there are just way too many guys on the team that need to have the ball in their hands. For now the team looks like an accumulation of stars, but is has to be questioned if they are able to play together. Jake really has to find a way to get them going.
Portland Traiblazers (2-4)
A lot people had them on the list for the top seed in the West. The combination of Lillard and Aldridge looks just way too strong. But for now Portland didnt find the groove. They already lost to the Warriors twice and they had some serious problems on the road.
While Lillard is doing what he was expected to be able to do (28.3 points, 7.7 assists, 4 rebounds) and LMA adds what he already did last year ( 24/8 ) , the other guys are struggeling. Bradley for example is shooting a career low 30% from the field.
Still this team has way too much talent to be at the bottom. Excpect them to bounce back.
Honorable mention: San Antonio

Yeah, our schedule has been rough so far. Eveyone we have played is a playoff team, most likely. It doesn't get any easier in the rest of the month either.
It does seem like too many guys want the ball in their hands on this team, so we'll see. I'm hoping to fix that.

Great read Dennis!
Utah did what he had to: leave the strat Dylan left untouched. With the core they have, it doesn't even matter if Rodolfo is starting at SG, that it will work.
Harder times will come for sure, specially on the road when his defense struggles or against teams that can score no matter what. But so far so good for the Jazz this season.
Bottom line we have the Blazers. They didn't have a great start of the season, but it's still a small sample rate to value the season. My bet was in favor of them at the start of the season and still is. They'll improve for sure, no need to push the panic button IMO.

Nice read Dennis, Wiggins is certainly killing it right now as a rookie...jeez. And I'm hoping the Blazers and Wolves will continue to struggle in the West.

So far so good for the Nuggs, I've got to say that I'm surprised with them, even though they have depth and are a very good team, they lack some D and they have lots of young value, so I though they'd do lots of damage next season.
Still, they're playing some great basketball. I love what I see from that team.
Great read overall man. Nice work.

Nuggets have a very good GM. They made it to playoffs last year without DMC...

Nice read, the title is hilarious.
The real surprise on this list is the Timberwolves, thought they'd be performing better until I saw the Danny Granger acquisition and his initial PT and yeah now the Lin Love Parsons McLemore dynamic seems off.
A defense first SG may help this team but with McLemore and Franklin in the mix I don't see that happening, just a SG or even a SF who takes less shots but then of course that leaves Parsons out. A different offensive strat may help though.
