A reason to believe
Injuries to their starters didn't stop the Clippers from sending a message to the league that they are no pushover this season. Despite losing their primary big man in the Off-Season in rebounding machine Anderson Varejao, the Clippers front court are holding their own this early led by former All Star Reserve Nene Hilario.
It was in full time display against the Dallas Mavericks, were he almost single-handedly took on the size of Marc Gasol, Nikola Vucevic, and David West. Nene played almost the entire game, logging in 44 minutes leading to a team-high 22 points and 9 boards. Apart from that, he forced Gasol and Vucevic into foul troubles with his array of low post moves underneath the basket.
Nene did his very best to counter the size of Marc Gasol and company.
Nene Hilario is averaging 19 points and 6.4 rebounds per game in 8 games thus far, converting a team-high 55.6% from the field in only just 28.6 minutes. Aside from that, he is also contributing 1.1 blocks, 1.0 assists, and 0.8 steals a game. Those numbers could be a lot higher if not for those games were he was hobbled by foul troubles. Nonetheless, he is giving the Clippers a reason to believe that they can survive even with a not so talented front line rotation.

Nene is a warrior. Fighting like a hungry beast in there. Paul and Deron also putting up good numbers. This is still a dangerous team

I don't know how you're winning games with 3 all-stars surrounded by scrubs... but you're doing it.

You always will compete no matter what your team looks like, but its going to be very difficult with Varejo this year. I have a feeling Deron will be getting moved this season at some point to address some of these needs and get you a roster you like.

Nene is a beast. You got a three headed monster and nothing much else left:D..
Still you got two of the best players ever played in the CSL. You will be able to do some serious damage.

Yeah Nene is playing really well for you, Chris Paul and Deron take alot of pressure offensively off the bigs allowing them to have favorable matchups.
Great gm'ing job putting your guys in a position to succeed and maybe even exceed expectations.
