Lakers 136 - Cavaliers 111

Russell Westbrook: 40 pts (12-24 FG, 16-16 FT), 8 asts, 5 rebs, 3 stls
Bradley Beal: 21 pts (8-10 fg), 5 rebs, 3 stls, 2 blks
Al Horford: 20 pts, 6 rebs, 3 stls, 2 blks

Less than an hour after Westbrook's comments to the media, he explodes for 40 points and a stat stuffing game against another elite point guard in Kyrie Irving. A bit disappointed in the fact that we gave up 111 points though. Very impressed with my backcourt. Quite easily the best in the league at this point.

Regular Season - Sim 9 Jazz - 64
Regular Season - Sim 9 Warriors - 102
David Lee - 19pts, 3reb 6/10FG
Stephen Curry - 19pts, 4ast, 3reb, 7/10FG
Trey Burke - 14pts, 2ast, 2stl, 6/9FG in 22min
Klay Thompson - 14pts, 5reb, 3ast
Eric Bledsoe - 11pts, 8reb, 8ast, 3stl

Key Notes:
Absolutely blow the Jazz out by 38 points, didn't expect that at all. Held them to 31%FG and 13% from deep. They also only finished with 10 assists for the entire game. We're on a roll but the Lakers are right behind us so we really can't afford to slip up. And there were people who said we wouldn't make the playoffs this year....  Rolling Eyes

11/24 - Dallas Mavericks, 78 @ Minnesota Timberwolves, 99
Jeremy Lin - 27 points, 1 assist, 1 steal
Kevin Love - 15 points, 21 rebounds, 10 assists, 4 steals
Jamaal Franklin - 15 points, 2 steals, 3 rebounds, 2 blocks

Another great performance, we now have 3 wins in a row. Lin put up 27 points and destroyed both Hill and Hinrich while Love abused David West with a triple double with the statline of the night. 15 points, 21 rebounds, 10 assists, 4 steals... that's insane. It's too bad Dennis isn't doing those performance of the weeks anymore, or there's no doubt Love would be on there. That's easily been his best performance this season. Bogut didn't even take a shot against Gasol and only played 20 minutes. Blatche picked up the slack with 7 rebounds of his own. Franklin is also continuing to pick up the slack while McLemore is hurt and Parsons is continuing to play well under the radar. We shot 48% from the field, they shot 37%. Couldn't have asked for much more this game.

We have to play Dallas again tomorrow, this time we play IN Dallas. Hoping to take that game too.

It's also worth noting that we're now tied with Denver for 2nd in the division and are only 1 game back of Utah.

OKC 87 - 78 LAC

  • George and Howard gave me average production on that one. Both them filled the box score with 18pts, 4rebs, 5ast and 4stl for the first and 20, 14 and 5 blocks for the last.
  • I did not expected my team to stop either Paul or Nene, and they combined for 40 points. But the rest of the Clippers scored only 38, so my team did what I though they would.
  • The rest of the starters played really bad. Thank God we can have our bench subbed in and Roy & Hibbert duo (Brandon Roy, folks), combined for 27.
  • Once again, more TO's than assists. But as long as we're getting those much needed wins, I'm fine with everything.

Improved to 6-7 with 3 wins in a row. Suddently, we see ourself in a situation to approach .500 next sim, with a home game against the Cavs and Irving. Hope we can beat them and continue to improve!
Still, lets not overhype. A lot to improve.

Since we're not winning with Jennings, Jefferson, Pierce, Seraphin, Williams, etc, getting minutes, I may as well give as many minutes to the youth instead. No point otherwise.

W vs. MIA

We leave Miami with a rare win.

Durant went off for 48/6/4 w/ 3 blks and limited Barnes to just 8 points on 4-8 shooting but moving Okafor into the starting lineup seemed to pay off as he had 26/14/4 w/ 2 stls on 11-14 shooting in 29 minutes! Parker and Kemba dominated the point guard position and Cousins had 33/15 on 50+ FG%.

Mathews and Thabo limited Ellis to 4 points in 30 minutes.

Easy win against the sixers. Schröder just so Important for us. Believe we could have had a little chance against Orlando and Charlotte with Dennis on board.

So...

Most of the team returned from injury (minus Chris Kaman who is now healed, and Brendan Haywood who will be out for most of the next week) and we celebrate the return of several injured players by...

Getting blown out 111-87 by New York. Bosh led them with 30, while Rubio had 21/15/5.

For Indiana, I have no effing idea why Lebron decided to only take 9 shots for a total of just 18 points- his lowest total this season by far. He played 41 minutes, and no other player was really taking his shots, so I really have no answer for this. Dirk led Indy with 19. All-around terrible game.

Magic now 4-8

Orlando 86 @ Detroit 108

This one wasn't even close. Wiggins had a decent game with 27 points, 4 rebounds, 3 steals and 2 blocks. Noel added 14 points and 7 rebounds as well as 2 blocks. We were crushed on the boards, every single Pistons starter had at least 8 rebounds as they won the battle of the boards 57 to 39.

Next up…

The Rockets come to the Magic Kingdom.

1-1 sim.

A 28-pt road win against the Suns. Chris Paul with a stellar game with 35 points, 13 assists, 5 rebounds, and 5 steals. Mitch McGary feasted on the paint though with his impressive 29 points and 10 boards on 11/14 FG shooting.

Then we lost by 9 at home against the Thunder. A low scoring game as we only scored 78 while they managed only 87. Dwight dominates.

Terrence Ross went off against the Wizards for 33pts/8rebs/2ast/1stl/4blks in the 110-95 victory on the road (thank goodness) although Iggy stayed in foul trouble.

Good game Q.

Flipside Kevin Durant nipping at Harden's heels for the scoring lead which is something I really wanna push Harden for this season as I felt he had a chance last season (finishing #3) although he's playing roughly 5-6 mins less than most guys.

win vs NYK - 108-131

Solid win vs one of the toughest teams in the league. Their Cs dominated us as both McGee and Koufos scored 22 but could not convert from FT with McGee going 6-14. Rubio only played 23 mins and had 4 fouls, probably because Lillard went to the line 13 times going 13-13 and led all scorers with 31 and 10 assists and 7 rebounds. LMA scored 21 and we got some good all around contribution from the bench. Happy to get a few teams vs quality teams

W: Indiana Pacers 87 @ 111 New York Knicks
Ricky Rubio: 21 points, 15 asists, 5 rebounds, 2 steals
Chris Bosh: 30 points, 5 rebounds

Another one of the key games we had inked in our schedule since the beginning of the season.
LeBron's first appearance @MSG as a member of the Pacers got all the headlines in most NY papers.

But it wasn't an easy night for 'The King' this time, as he found Rubio and the best Knicks in front.

Regular Season - Sim 9 Mark-cuban-encanta-ricky-rubio_1_617470
James already new what this kid was about from their international games

JaVale and specially Bosh tonight dominated the paint. Chris played great against Dirk for the second time this season, and made clear the German superstar isn't enough to stop him.

With this win we move to 2-0 in our season series against the Pacers. A team built to win with LeBron, Kobe and Dirk always deserves some credit, so we're proud that we slowed them down twice already.

L: New York Knicks 108 @ 131 Portland Trail Blazers
JaVale McGee: 22 points, 7 rebounds, 1 block
Kosta Koufos: 22 points, 9 rebounds

Our winning streak comes to an end at 4 consecutive wins with this loss against the Blazers.

As Andrei mentioned, Lillard was very aggressive going to the rim, and although he shot 9/21 he did go 13 times to the line, and forced Rubio to just 23 minutes of play.
With the spaniard in the bench more than half of the game, our team wasn't able to score that much and play the way we normally do. Felton didn't have a great game this time, specially with 5 TOs, so we really never fought for this game.

At least is nice watching the Blazers play like this. As I've already said they're going up very soon, as this team is built to make big things in the west! (But that doesn't mean we're not waiting for February 4th for revenge on this one  Razz )

Win 84-97 against Philadelphia

Would have loved to have Schröder on board against Charlotte and Orlando. Really want to see what we would have been able to do with Dennis at Point.
Schröder didnt dish out as much assists like Micic, but he turned the ball over only once against the 76ers.

Hayward, 27p/6r/2a w 2blks 1stl, 11 of 19 shooting.
Had a good game against wade, though he struggled to protect the ball against tough defense by Dwyane. Preferences still need to be fixed. He's a slasher and shoots a very high percentage at the rim. So far he is shooting 45% overall despite facing double and triple teams all the time.

Len, 9p/10r w 3blks
Again nearly a double double for Len against Bynum. What I love is, Len is already averaging 5FTA per. Played great D against Bynum together with Young as Bynum scored only 17.

Schröder, 7p/7a/6r w 1TO
Dennis didnt score much but it was a great first game after his injury. He will need a few games to be fit again.

Bazz 23p/6r/2a w 1stl 1to 1foul (6/14 FG3)
I believed he will struggle a lot with fouling out nearly every game, turning the ball over all the time.. But somehow he doesnt. Scored a career high 23 points against a good defender like Mbah A Moute. Shoots around 45% from beyond the arc.

Young 12p/15r w 1blk 6/8 shooting
I hate that I had to give up Nik, but Young and Bazz are showing they are worth it. Young averages a double double and adds nearly 2 blks per game. On top he shoots 57% from the field.. He will become one of the best defensive minded bigs in the league.

Regular Season - Sim 9 Pelicans – 112
Regular Season - Sim 9 Spurs – 104

Marcus Smart – 38 pts, 8 ast, 5 reb, 1 blk
Greivis Vasquez – 18 pts, 4 ast
Anthony Davis – 13 pts, 6 reb, 2 stl, 2 blk
Mike Dunleavy – 12 pts
Gary Harris – 10 pts, 4 ast, 2 stl
DeAndre Jordan – 6 pts, 11 reb, 4 blk

An 8-point road win without Gordon and Anderson for the first time is a good look for us. Jordan ripped down 11 boards and four blocks in his Pelican debut. Gary Harris stepped up in his first game with extended minutes as he scored a career-high ten points, hitting both of his three-point attempts, while adding four assists and two steals. Oh yeah, Marcus Smart continues to make a case for being the best PG in the game (yes AK, that’s including Westbrook)! Anthony Davis was quiet tonight while in foul trouble.

Won at home against the Magic by dominating the boards. Didn't distribute the ball as much as I had hoped, but we played good enough defense to get the win. Knight and Drummond had monster games though as Knight just keeps improving his game each month.
