Personal Messages
I know we all have times where it is hard to reply, hell man, life comes at you fast…
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GIoHOtcPMh0&feature=kp
In all seriousness though. Just take a few moments and reply. Even if it's just to say…NO.
We have some great GMs in this league but we also have some people who once you hit the send button, it's like watching paint dry waiting on a response. When you send a message and it's been read and it's 3 days later and you still haven't got a response…that is a little long.
If I offend anyone with this, I am sorry but at the same time, just take a few moments to respond.

I actually haven't had any problems with this this year. Moreso in the past on the old boards, but seems like everyone is pretty good at responding to PMs now.

Re: Personal Messages
I was about to post this as well. Having GMs go silent is a pain in the ass.

Re: Personal Messages
Have definitely come across GMs that take forever to respond. I've even had to send a second message days later, just to get a reply. It's one of the things that, despite what deal I'm talking about with them, can persuade me to look elsewhere for a trade. Some people (will not name anyone) are just terrible at responding. Terrible.

Well, suffice it to say that no one posting in here is an offender. Haha.

I think it also takes some of the new guys a little time to understand how to operate, but agreed its a pain when people don't respond just to let you know they're thinking about the offer or waiting for a response from another GM or just telling you "no thanks".

Re: Personal Messages
Let me offer a nugget of wisdom as well:
It's always nice to understand what the other GM is looking for / why he doesn't like the trade.
As long as it's not done in poor form, this can sometimes help get closer to an actually trade or, if the GM comes by some new players later, can trigger a memory "Oh, that guy wanted 3&D - I have that now, should reach back out to him."
Which never occurs if "No", "No thanks", "LOL" or no answer occur.

Sometimes the offers are so bad you cant say more than "lol" or "no thanks". It really Happens sometimes.

Re: Personal Messages
Usually I'll give a counter-offer, unless I have zero interest in a deal and it's way off in every aspect. In that case, I'll give a "no thanks". But for the most part I'm open to dealing with anyone.Sun Scorched (CHA) wrote:Let me offer a nugget of wisdom as well:

Yeah, I mean more like:
"No thanks, not really interested in LeBron. I'd prefer to hold onto Varejao. Thanks."

Re: Personal Messages
There is someone in this very thread that fits the op description perfectly.
My advice is if a GM doesn't respond, find an alternative to the player you're after or wait it out and see if player is moved to another team and reach out to said team with a GM whose easier to communicate with and try to make it a menage!
