40,000 Playing 1 game of Pokemon

Has anyone seen this?

Some guy set up a game of Pokemon Red that is able to be played by anyone who registers to twitch.tv and currently has anywhere from 40-80 thousand people playing the same game of Pokemon Red. People are only able to submit one command at a time (up, down, left, right, start). It's been pretty entertaining and has been going on for the last 12+ days. They have 7 badges and have gone through quite the journey.

I've submitted a couple of commands here and there. I check up on it every so often to see where they're at.

Did he ever enter an Arena to fight for medals?

Dude, they've gotten so far in the game! They have 7 badges, have caught the legendary Zapdos, they've done some really incredible stuff.

Oh okay didnt take a deep look, just saw Ash moving forward and back.
How the hell did they do that? its so uncoordinated...

Just gotta watch more often... they do some really amazing stuff. Except when confronted with ledges. Ledges are their biggest enemy.

How have they not made a Pokemon MMO yet? Game would make so much money.

Lmao... How they managed to win 7 badges I have no fucking idea.

Just watched for a couple of minutes and Ash just went around and people keep pressing the start button lol.

After literally, hours of trying to get into the 8th gym (having problems with ledges that can easily be jumped over), they somehow either lost or left the gym because they are no longer in it and they don't have the badge yet...

It's tough to watch since they can go sometime without doing anything productive. I'd rather just download an emulator and play it myself lol.

That's the beauty in it I think. I'm not watching it because it's a playthrough, I couldn't give a shit less if they make any progress. I think it's funny as hell just watching them dick around and actually get stuff done. It's incredible what they've been able to accomplish despite all the spamming, lag, and everything else working against them. 95% of the fun is watching them TRY to do something and just not doing it (I was laughing so hard when they were trying to get in the gym, then managed to get in, just to walk out and jump over the ledge literally right away).

The only time I watched it, everyone was just messing around and they got absolutely no where. They were just walking in circles inside a Pokemon center and got their Pokemon healed like 12 times in a row, so I thought they got nothing accomplished. But I'm pretty impressed to hear they've got so much done.

It was entertaining watching them trying to get inside the last gym but couldn't because of the ledge...It's been awhile since I last checked but I was hoping to witness the last gym battle. I likely missed it though.

And it looks as if they already got the last badge...damn.

Oh well.

Yeah, they are grinding now so that way all of their party will be strong enough to survive victory road and the elite 4.

They are taking on the Elite 4 right now holy shit. They've beaten the first 4 already but lost to their rival, so they gotta keep doing it. This is insane.

Crazy.. cant believe they got that far... still cant imagine how..

Lemme know when they catch them all. Not impressed until they catch them all. Gotta catch them all.

That's incredible. I'm upset I missed all the action, every time I watch they can't get anything done.

For a while there Dewgong was giving them the business, I didn't think they'd be able to get past her.

Yeah, I saw on Reddit that someone had recorded the battle. I kept coming in to Dewgong constantly spamming rest to restore all of it's health.
