Warriors/Hawks
Golden State Warriors Send
Harrison Barnes - $3,128,594
Thomas Robinson - $3,773,290
Derrick Brown - $2,000,000
2016 Boston 1st - $0
TOTAL: $8,901,844
Atlanta Hawks Send:
Trey Burke - $3,117,600
Eric Bledsoe - $6,744,582
2016 Detroit 1st
TOTAL: $9,862,182
Why for Golden State ?
Tough deal to make, but simple enough. We have absolutely no depth whatsoever when it comes to our backcourt. We live and die by the performances of the splash brothers. Thus, we address the issue of depth by adding two very strong guards who could both potentially start on most teams. It's hard to see Barnes go, especially considering he made the All-Star team in just his sophomore season, but its a risk I'm willing to take when our team as a whole gets much stronger. Robinson I had basically no room for whatsoever and wasn't a fan of his game. He would have saw no playing time behind Chandler, Kanter, Lee, & Dieng. We might have a question mark at SF after this, but I have no problem sliding Klay to the 3 and moving Burke or Bledsoe to the starting lineup. We will most likely use our MLE to bring in another forward so no harm done there. Great deal for both teams I think and glad we could finally come to an agreement.

Re: Warriors/Hawks
Confirmed. With Kyle Anderson on the way out we had a need at SF. Barnes is two years older and doesn't have the overall upside of Anderson but he fits nicely nonetheless. 17/5 as a sophomore and an allstar is pretty impressive for a (then) 21 year old, he has an inside/outside game and elite ball handling as well. Robinson should be one of the better backup PF's in the league and at 23 he has potential as a scorer/rebounder as well. Boston is rebuilding and their '16 1st has no protection on it. This was an intense 4 day negotiation, glad we got it done.
