Boston Celtics press conference

After some sources already were suprised by Bostons pick up the mystery is now unraveled.
The Celtics traded down to pick up Shabazz Muhammad.
Drafting Jahii Carson at #6 only a few moments ago, he's already shipped out and will be headed to Sacramento.
In return Boston will receive the rights to pick 7 and 18.
A well-informed source already sayed a few days ago Boston is aiming to get a pick around #16-#19 because there is a guy the franchise fall in love with.

Nice move. I really liked Carson but it looks like the Kings have their PG now.

Loved Carson and wish I was able to get a deal done for the #6 pick so I could take him. I'm happy that Shabazz Muhammad went before my pick because I feel I would have been obligated to take him but would have been scared to do it. Good luck with the Shabazz Experience!

Yeah its going to be a real experience. He played a nice tournament and even committed only 1 TO in four games.. But he averaged 2,5 fouls per game. It will be hard to manage his foultrouble due to his low DI

Low PAS/HDL too, iirc. Still, i would have him bombing 3s all day long and a spot-up shooter needs those skills slightly less than a guard reliant on driving, a la Tyreke Evans.

yeah thats what we are looking for. Schröder has to run the show for our first unit. I hope Bazz doesnt has to handle the ball that much and instead of passing he has to shoot as much as possible.
Will try to add a SG with some decent passing/handling/range for secondary playmaking.. I believe there is a guy who could do this still on the board.
But like said, its a gamble... I hope it works for us.
Anyway the Vucevic trade was great as it seems. Got Young, Shabazz + #18 in return.

I hope Len pans out for you. The Celtics need a good player to lead them into (losing) battle against their superior rival.

Jared Sullinger was red flagged and Boston was able to nab him in the NBA...and the dudehas been playing pretty well so far this season. So I think it'll work out for you with Shabazz.

Such a young core. Nice bright future in Boston if they pan out.
