Paul George/ John Wall Contract Error
Paul George's contract is WAY off:
CSL: http://csl.we.bs/474.html
RL: http://data.shamsports.com/content/pages/data/salaries/pacers.jsp
2010 Draft Class is either expiring this season or was up for extension this season but he's listed as having 2 more seasons on a rookie scale contract.
He wasn't both option and extension eligible as listed.
Edit: John Wall as well
CSL: http://csl.we.bs/531.html
RL: http://data.shamsports.com/content/pages/data/salaries/wizards.jsp
Not sure who else is off other than the known Kenneth Faried option issue.

Bringing this up, meaning dedicated thread cause I mentioned it (George) in another thread but likely not seen for a 2 reasons:
1: Teams would've been doing planning to chase both guys via FA if they weren't extended (which I can understand why if the GM views the Player Card and the contract is listed incorrectly without their knowledge).
2. Those franchises however get to reap the benefits of extra capspace they should not have due to this error while teams like Miami and soon others likely have to scurry to cut salary due to the luxury tax penalties which can lead to loss of 1st rd picks.
There may be some other reasons I haven't thought of but others may but there definitely has to be a reasonable solution to this.

Re: Paul George/ John Wall Contract Error
This is definitely another reason why I dislike DDS. Just seems so many of the integral parts (I.e. Contracts, etc) were poorly done.
Seems like once a week someone in the league finds a big issue that could have been avoided if the game was made right. Dylan and Myles are always having to fairy dust something it seems to try and fix an issue.

Re: Paul George/ John Wall Contract Error
It just shows how little Gary cares about the products he puts out. You would think that, with all the issues and errors from 2, he would freaking make sure that there were little to no errors in 3. Imagine if 2K always had issues and errors, they'd be fucked. Gary has a loyal fan base that keeps coming back for his error ridden games.
It's a shame because if he put in the time and effort to make sure he's got a good product out there, people would buy the game without having to worry about errors and crap. I rather like the sim style and system in DDS but the errors and issues it has, is a major turnoff.

Re: Paul George/ John Wall Contract Error
Has the CSL been running just two seasons with this actual file? So the one just completed and the one before that or longer?
Unless someone has an early file, there's no proof the DDS game stuffed this up. I'm not a fan of the series and the way the developer handles anything to do with the game but unless there's an early file to compare to (or the actual import), I'd say the league started using an incorrect import which had incorrect salary data.
I mean, both Wall and George are showing those contracts and are both still showing as being option eligible. Even if if was forwarded a season (current league file hasn't move forward contract wise), they still shouldn't be option eligible.

Re: Paul George/ John Wall Contract Error
You could also take a look al Westbrook's contract, i've never seen nothing like that...
And willyjakk do you think resigning Wall will be a great effort for us?? he already gets 9M!!! And please stop telling "Miami this Miami that" because he did nothing to solve his cap space while being able...
As I have talk with some other GMs in this league there seems to be a lot of fear to Miami and do not understand why everybody is ass-kissing him.

Re: Paul George/ John Wall Contract Error
We had to do that with Westbrook because I screwed up and cut the wrong player. It was a temporary fix. Wall/George/Faried were from the default rosters that came with the game.

I'm not sure how you want to run your franchise so resigning him would be a decision you'd have to make depending on direction and what you want out of your PG.
No fear from Miami here in Houston, think I coulda beat him in the Finals if Biyombo didn't get hurt had to play Krstic and Brand as only big reserves. Can't speak for other teams "fear" of Miami, that may be something personal that you 2 have going on.
As far as my post about Miami, they're an example and maybe you'd understand it if your team had to face losing picks etc due to the Luxury Tax, I have and it's not a good thing having to trade guys for salary purpose so "no" I don't think it'd be fair for a team period to be under tax implications while teams benefit from cap space they truly don't have.
No damn way I'm down with that, hell Atlanta made moves due to possible tax penalties so no way your team or Indy or any other team should be able to have unearned cap to sign or keep guys that they may not be able to.
As far as others gripes about the engine, I'm not familiar enough to make a comment on it.

Re: Paul George/ John Wall Contract Error
PG and JW will both have their contracts cut short so that they will expire at the end of next season. We can't make them FAs without the chance of screwing things up so we'll just have to bite the bullet and give them the extra year.
As for Faried, that actually wasn't an issue with the game. Milwaukee just failed to pick up the 4th option for him.

Re: Paul George/ John Wall Contract Error
Just a question, PG is a RFA next summer? And can sign with me for 5 years as I have now his Bird Rights?
Also, am I able to extend him now?

Yes, yes, and extensions will open after FA.
