Bradley is back

Portland TrailBlazers are very excited to announce that the number one priority this offseason -resign Avery Bradley to a long-term deal – has been successfully completed. Bradley signed a 5 year deal with the Blazers today.
The 24 year old Bradley is considered by many to be one of the toughest defenders in CSL. He came off the bench most of last season but joined the starting lineup when LaMarcus Aldridge went down with a season ending injury. Bradley showed that he is a perfect sidekick to Damian Lillard in the backcourt. He is expected to start this season and anchor the team’s defense.

‘Having Bradley in the backcourt allows Lillard to drive our offense. Bradley complements Lillard offensively and also takes the pressure off him on the defensive end. They are both very intelligent players and play really well together.’ – coach Avery Johnson said

While Bradley’s defensive abilities have been widely praised, he also averaged 11.8 ppg off the bench last season (18.4 ppg in 12 games he started) while shooting 49% from the field.

Bradley is a key member of the Portland core and we are very excited to have him back with us on a long-term deal.

Really nice you were able to retain Bradley and not at a bad price either, however as well as you guys played last season, I feel losing Tyreke is gonna hurt you guys more than you anticipate.

Thought he was a big reason for the Blazers success due to his scoring and getting to the FT line but what do I know, it may all depend on how well Henson and Harris develop with Lillard.
