Man we really do suck on the road jeez. Something has got to change. So much for those strategies I changed, going right back to the old formula lol

88 points in a lose to New Orleans, really pathetic. No one on the team scored more than 16 points and we shot 40% from the field. Disgusting. Marcus Smart ran all over us.

Re: Regular Season - Sim 43
All right here we go:
There you go boy. We beat the best record team in the league at their own home court with Smart AND Davis scoring over 30! We did not even had to stop their main players to grab a much appreciated win. We're for real.
14 differential and Howard only played 25 minutes before fouling out. I know their missing Waiters who's a 30 minute player for them but I'm missing Brewer who's also a 30 minute player. He may not have the same impact offensively but defensively he's a huge part of our success, and he plays crucial minutes at 3 positions. I don't see how NOP can improve from that performance as both guys who usually carry them to wins exploded for 30+ and they scored 108 as a team which is not bad.
Hey we beat NOP at home just to lose to Dallas at Texas after. PG scored over 20, finally, but no one stepped up to help. We defended pretty poor, and foul trouble played a role here. They managed to create more turnovers than we, mostly due to us missing Brewer who's an awesome defender. Congrats for the win, I knew your team with Teague would be better.
Hate to lose games but, heck, coming off a 9-game win streak and playing back-to-back at home with both PG and Nene banged up, we knew it was not going to be a pretty game.
Move to 30 wins, 16 losses, we finally catch GSW on the loss column. Next sim vs ATL, return home with George and Nene still not 100%.. Will be a great test to see if Cousins and Hibbert can hold their own against our aggressive interior who likes to bang and draw as much fouls as possible.
THE GOOD:
-> Every time you nab a convincing win, playing away from our domains, against the best record in the entire league, you know your team is for real.
-> Every one is stepping up to the challenge including the bench.
THE BAD:
-> Can't drop games to non-playoff teams. Much respect for Dallas but we needed that win to consolidate even more. Playoff in the West is tough and you don't want to lose to non-playoff teams, even if they have the talent to make the post-season sooner rather than later.
OKLAHOMA CITY 122 - 108 NEW ORLEANS PELICANS

Re: Regular Season - Sim 43
Bad sim for us.
Following three huge wins, we fell flat versus Portland and lost 133-102 on the road despite an impressive 46 point game from Lebron. Damian Lillard went OFF against us for 45/16/6. While Lillard is a great player, a lot of this has to do with Tony Parker, who is now sidelined for 20 days with a pulled groin.
But the struggle tonight can't be blamed on Parker alone. Lebron's best helper tonight? Josh Harrellson scored 12 on 5-6 shooting and recorded four steals. The whole team was thumped on the boards, and allowed 62% shooting.
We play New York next, and in that game, Lebron will go back to playing PG like he did before the Parker trade.

Loss on the road in San Antonio, 108-94.
Beal had a nice game with 26 points on 11-21 shooting, while chipping in 6 steals, 4 rebounds, 2 assists, and 1 steal.

Big win over OKC at home. Jeff Teague has been on a tear since coming to Dallas.
He led us with 25 points, 7 assists, and 4 rebounds on 8-13 shooting and 8-10 from the charity strip...but had 8 turnovers. DeMar has been struggling shooting lately but came up with 18 points, 4 rebounds, and 2 steals. Mayo shot effeciantly with 17 points, 4 rebounds, 3 assists, and 2 steals on 7-13 shooting. West with a quite double of 10 points and 10 rebounds. Channing Frye wants to start...he's earning minutes man...9 points off the bench. I dig it.
We shot better and that's what kept us in the game. Plus, them fouling so much helped too.

Cheers, this would have been an epic matchup without the crazy injuries.rh0xxy (LAC) wrote:Lost to Atlanta at home as we played with an injured starter in Johnson. And wow! The injury bug bite us anew. 6 players injured now lol

Anyway not much to report on this one, the PG matchup was interesting:
Lawson 19/5/14
Paul 17/6/11
We also faced...
L vs. UTA
Utah payed us back, we lost on their home floor and it's crazy to say our frontcourt got outplayed when Cousins put up 16/13 but man oh man did Favors go off. Lawson won the PG matchup with Conley pretty handily and Barnes put up his customary 18/3 but we lost to a great team and our winning streak ends at 6 games.
Next up is OKC.

5th win of the season as we beat the Heat at home. Jennings with 37 and shooting over 47% his last 14 games. Instructions are slowly starting to work.

I feel like Jennings gets a bit of an unfair rap in this league. Dude can carry a team to wins all by himself, and with pref work, you're making him a better player.

W: Golden State Warriors 83 @ 110 New York Knicks
Ricky Rubio: 18 points, 19 asists, 8 steals, 6 rebounds, 0 TOs
Chris Bosh: 18 points, 9 rebounds
JaVale McGee: 21 points in 25 minutes
Important win against the strong Warriors team.
We soon built a 20 point lead at the half, and while the Warriors managed to cut it to 14 at the end of the third, they only scored 10 points in the whole 4th quarter, what made the en difference of +27 for the Knicks.
Rubio had another outstanding game, guiding his team again with 19 dimes (I mean, he's dished 59 asists in the last 3 games... crazy), and once again near the triple double.
Guided by our young star, our winning streak reaches 11th in a row now, and moves us just 1.5 games behind the east leading Pistons.

Nets 95 Rockets 106
Darren Collison in his first start as a Rocket took on Steph Curry of the Nets and held his own going for 19pts 1reb 7asts (8TO's) while Curry had 16pts 5rebs 9asts 4stls (6TO's) but the player who has been a rock for us is once again Andre Iguodala. Andre "The Rocket" has received multiple calls from GM's inquiring about his availability and with good reason as he put up yet another monster all around game in the win getting 34pts 5rebs 6asts 5stls and 1blk, showing why he is one of the more valuable and versatile players in the entire League.
We get some needed time off once again before taking on the Lakers in Houston on Thurs.
Good game goikiri.

Dwight Howard – 28 pts, 11 reb, 6 blk
Nene Hilario – 19 pts, 5 reb, 5 stl
Deron Williams – 18 pts, 5 reb, 6 ast
Paul George – 16 pts, 7 reb, 7 ast, 4 stl
Marcus Smart – 32 pts, 6 ast, 4 stl, 1 blk
Anthony Davis – 30 pts, 10 reb, 2 stl, 1 blk
Greivis Vasquez – 16 pts, 4 ast, 2 stl, 1 blk
Pretty upset at myself for not changing my strategies to play against the Thunder. Last time we played we zoned them real hard and it worked like a charm. If we had done that again tonight I have a feeling Dwight and Nene wouldn’t have had such efficient games like they did. Either way, we lost the turnover battle, rebounding margin and we had DeAndre Jordan shoot 1-10 from the floor and 5-12 from the line. Not going to get it done. Good game Marcos and look forward to playing your squad again.

Marcus Smart – 49 pts, 12 reb, 6 ast, 2 stl, 1 blk
Anthony Davis – 18 pts, 7 reb, 2 blk
Carl Landry – 16 pts, 7 reb
Greivis Vasquez – 12 pts, 7 reb, 3 ast, 1 blk
Ben McLemore – 16 pts, 1 ast
Jamaal Franklin – 14 pts, 1 ast, 1 blk
Kevin Love – 14 pts, 14 reb, 5 ast
On the second game of back-to-backs we go to Minnesota and blow out the Timberwolves on the back of a career-high performance from Marcus Smart who exploded for 49 points and 12 boards to go along with six assists, a couple steals and a block. This kid is just too good. Anthony Davis had a very good game as well, converting on eight of his 12 shots. We shot 53% as a whole and out-rebounded Minnesota by 13. I’m sure Jake is saying good riddance to Andrew Bogut and can’t wait to get Marc Gasol in the lineup.

Beat the Magic on the road behind a big game by Melo, but followed that up with a big loss against Milwaukee on our home court. Thats two home losses in a row which I'm not happy about at all.
A change might be coming soon in Detroit.

Milwaukee @ Detroit - WIN (105-84)
Top Performers:
Andrew Harrison - 28 points, 4 rebounds, 3 assists, 50% FG
Kyle Anderson - 16 points, 7 rebounds, 6 assists
Andrea Bargnani - 14 points, 12 rebounds
Great road win against a very tough Pistons team. Vucevic fouled out early and Bargnani stepped in an performed admirably, as him and Faried dominated the boards together (26 rebounds between them). Harrison and Anderson stole the show though, as Harrison shouldered the scoring load and Anderson created for his teammates while also scoring and rebounding. I need to tone down the defensive intensity to keep my bigs out of foul trouble and then things should really start turning around.

Yeah, not that I'm looking to trade him but his value is really low. That doesn't concern me because he's not available anyway but we did him no favours when big Al was around running strategies to try and pad his stats. Jennings suffered and also needed instruction improvement.
But, it's working. We're seeing marked improvement and have a deal we're just about to agree to that should allow us to put him in better positions so all looking up for him hopefully.

Nice getting another win against Sac. Tony Mitchell and Evan Turner both got double doubles. Tyler Zeller had a nice game as he is getting used to getting starter minutes. One bad was that Kyrie had the same amount of turnovers to assist. If we want a playoff team, we have to cut down on turnovers.
