Regular Season - Sim 2 Empty Re: Regular Season - Sim 2

1-1 sim.

Game 1: Timberwolves, 97, Houston, 116
KLove: 24 points, 12 rebs, 4 ast, 10/18 shooting
James Harden: 41 points, 9 rebounds, 4 assists, 15/26 shooting

James Harden singlehandedly beat us here. We held Iggy to 10 points, but unfortunately, as our DC still wasn't fixed for this game, Chandler (I think) was guarding him, and he got absolutely abused. We had 4 players in double figures: Lin, Love, Franklin, and Granger. The downside to having this many scorers on a team is Love isn't getting the stats he would otherwise have.

Gotta figure out how to slow down Harden though. Can't let him get 40 so easily.

Game 2: Portland 115, Minnesota 119
Lamarcus Aldridge - 40 points, 7 rebounds, 3 assists
Andrew Bogut - 28 points, 7 rebounds, 5 blocks, 3 assists, 12/17 shooting
Jeremy Lin - 20 points, 6 assists, 4 steals, 3 rebounds

WE SHUT DOWN DAMIAN LILLARD. Lin was great against "the best player in the northwest" as Andrei said. Stole the ball 4 times, limited Damian to 8 points in 36 minutes. Threw in 20 points, 6 assists, and 3 rebounds, and he's co-MVP with Bogut for this game.

This time, LaMarcus went off against us, and that's no surprise considering Love's defensive reputation. But we took advantage of a matchup as well, and fed the ball to Bogut who was being guarded by Dalembert, and he couldn't be stopped.

5 players in double figures: McLemore with 18, Danny with 19, and Parsons with 13, as well as the aforementioned Lin and Bogut. Love was limited by LaMarcus and couldn't do anything this game.

All in all, decent sim. 1-1 is probably as good as I could have expected playing 2 playoff teams in the West. Now on to New York for the next sim.

Wow really can't believe we lost to Orlando lol Ricky Ledo, really ? I messed up and didn't realize sim time or the fact we had 2 games I'm slackin ! At least we went 1-1 though.

W 120-101 @ Charlotte.

  • David Lee - 31pts, 9reb, 2stl on 11/19FG
  • Eric Bledsoe - 18pts, 8reb, 4ast, 6stl
  • Klay Thomspon - 16pts, 7ast, 5reb

L 95-105 @ Orlando.

  • Tyson Chandler - 24pts, 10reb, 3blk
  • Stephen Curry - 19pts, 7ast, 2stl
  • Klay Thompson - 15pts, 10ast, 4reb, 2stl

We got killed in Orlando after 2 impressive road wins..I guess 3 straight on the road was a lot to ask for. Shot 39% against a group of youngsters...not promising lol. Anyway, @ Brooklyn then the home debut against New Orleans. I really got to find a way to get this sub matrix fixed, minutes are all wrong.

On another note, while Klay's FG% is piss poor, his numbers are pretty good at SF..12PPG, 9.3APG, 5.7RPG. Assists are what's odd to me..but he won't be playing 39 minutes at SF once I fix the depth lol. Kanter and Burke are also going to be fixed to around 28-30mpg so looking forward to see how well we play once everything is right.

Nice win over the Wolves.

Nice to see how our lineup of:
Iggy/ Harden/ Ross/ Gallo/ Thompson
perform in a couple of stints throughout the game.

The not nice,  Terrence Ross suffering due to Gallo acquisition which I knew would be a tradeoff while making this move so will have to figure out a way to maximize TR.

We lost to the Thunder on the road. We had a dismal showing offensively. We need to establish a regular rotation as soon as possible. I prefer this current one but have to see if it'll work for the long run. We'll see...

Weird game for the Heat against the Nets. Kevin Durant must have gotten hurt during the game, only playing 7 minutes. And my team must have decided that fouling was a sound defensive strategy, as we sent Brooklyn to the line a paltry 56 times.

Pacers Rock Wizards 124-93

We legit.

Lebron went for 41/8/7/5/2 against the defensively helpless Jan Vesely and Jonas Jerebko as the Pacers as a whole erupted against Washington. Dirk Nowitzki (18p in 25 min), Jarrett Jack (16/9/5), Haywood (6/7 with 4 blocks), and Dudley (13p on 6-Cool stepped in for the injured Lance Stephenson and the struggling Kobe Bryant (8 points on 2-7). For the 2nd game in a row, the Pacers shot really impressively: 55/60/81, and held the Wizards to 42%, outscoring the Wizards by 31 despite the Wizards taking 9 more FGAs.

Blake Griffin led Washington with 33 points, 4 rebounds, and 7 assists, Jerebko added 20, and Wall added 18, but with the rest of the team combining to go 9-36, they weren't getting much help at all.

After a tought loss, things are starting to get better. 2 wins, while it's an small sample, show me at least we can win some ball games.
I love my offensive style, getting 119 pts when your main scorer scored 26 means great offense. It seems the guys understood that I want all of them to score, not only one player.
Ok, few things to correct, but at least for now, let's keep things the way they are.
BTW, Roy improved a lot. I like it.
Williams needs to play much better to continue starting though.

Got smashed by the Bulls...We shot decently from the field, especially from three point, but we could not protect the ball at all...turnovers absolutely killed us and by the looks of it, Chicago took full advantage of those turnovers.

utah two good wins against memphis one at home, leaving them only 60 points with a superb defense, ibaka favors and did a very complete game, great result in phoenix also leaving them only 56 points this is the defense we wanted in that based our game, utah carries in three games scored 62.7 points.
good start but the team needs a few adjustments.

Lost again, what else. Im arleady annoyed by it, lol  Laughing

Len is playing great so far. every efficient scorer, rebounds great and averages above 3 blocks per game while beeing limited to 30 minutes. Looks good so far.
Schröder actually got some problems staying on the court. A bit disappointed.
Micic shows he's able to be floor general. Averaging 6 assists at the off guard position, not bad!
Hayward averaging nearly 20 a game for us.
Bazz looks strong, scoring 11 per while playing only 24 minutes off the bench, 1.5 TOs, 0.3 PFs, stopping 62%, allowing 0.4 per SF. Unexpected!

Regular Season - Sim 2 Empty Re: Regular Season - Sim 2

Post by Jamal (CHA) Sat Apr 19, 2014 7:08 am

W: Cleveland Cavaliers 101 @ 121 New York Knicks
Ricky Rubio: 14 points, 12 asists, 2 rebounds, 2 steals
Chris Bosh: 28 points, 5 rebounds, 2 steals
Chase Budinger: 28 points, 4 rebounds
Festus Ezeli: 12 points, 7 rebounds on 16 mins off the bench

This time we learned the lesson, and weren't surprised by our rival in the first quarter.
We did pretty the opposite, and started strong for a 31-19 first quarter. Although the difference came in the third, where we closed the game with a 27-41 period after getting our largest lead of 35 points.

Offensively the Cavs relied on Uncle Drew all alone, while his opposing PG Rubio concentrated on making his team play better with his 12 dimes. Something Budinger took advantage of tonight, after going for 28 points on 10/15 shooting, including 5/6 from beyond the arc.
Bosh was also pretty efficient against Gortat, going also for 28 points, and more importantly going to the line 18 times, as he fould Marcin in just 16 minutes.

Off the bench Ezeli had a nice game, going for 12 points and 7 rebounds ni just 16 minutes of action. This guy looks like a pours man McGee to me, and I think he could be pretty effective as his bakcup.

L: New York Knicks 93 @ Detroit Pistons 114
Ricky Rubio: 14 points, 9 asists, 4 rebounds, 3 steals,
Courtney Lee: 20 points, 2 rebounds, 2 asists
Raymond Felton: 19 points, 5 asists, 2 rebounds

Once again another awful first quarter for our squad: 22-41 this time!
We tried to come back from there, but we only managed to win one quarter and even another one, so we couldn't reduce the margin or compete for the game.

Rubio had some foul trouble against Jameer. This kid pressures the ball too much, and that got it's risks, but we'll live or die with that! But even with that minute limitation he went for 14 points on 50% shooting, 9 dimes, 4 rebounds and 3 steals. And we also have Felton to back him up whenever needed, and he's a legit PG to for our system.

On the other hand Bosh and McGee didn't have their night, and Budinger was just awful after his big game against the Cavs. He went 1/15 from the field, including 1/9 from the three point line.
So at the end of the day nearly only Courtney and Ricky on limited minutes showed up tonight, and we won't win a team like the Pistons on the road like that.

So we can just congratulate Detroit for the win and start focusing on the next too tough games we have @Houston and @Minnesota. We'll be lucky if we can come back with a W from those two, but we'll fight! Very Happy

Won at home against the Knicks pretty handedly behind good games from Melo and Knight.  Everyone played really well all around and we had a good defensive game to keep the Knicks and Rubio in check.  Our rookie Perry Ellis saw his first real minutes and impressed with 14 pts and 6 boards, 1 stl, and a block.  Not too bad for the rookie, but we don't expect much more of that this early.

Have a good stretch of teams coming up next.

Win vs SA 79-118

Wow, for the first time in CSL history POR defeated SA at home. Big accomplishment. LMA led all scorers with 31 and D-Lillard scored 20 with 8 assists and 6 boards on 8-9 shooting. We blocked 16 shots and forced 22 TOs. SA were led by Green with 16 and Leonard scored 16 and grabbed 7 boards. But SA shot 34% with Lawson going 0-11

Loss @MIN 115-119

Weird game. Lillard shot only 6 times. He made 3 of them but I don't get why he only shot 6 times. Lin is agreat defender but he would not stop Lillard from at least attempting a shot. Lou Williams and Luke Ridnoir played backup PG and shot 8-11. Must have been an injury or something. Anyway LMA dominated with 40 and 7 boards but that wasn't enough. MIN got 28 from Bogut on 12-17 shooting. We need to address our post defense as we are giving up too many points from Cs.

Regular Season - Sim 2 Magic– 106
Regular Season - Sim 2 Pelicans– 131

Marcus Smart – 29 pts, 7 reb, 7 ast, 2 stl
Eric Gordon – 27 pts, 3 reb, 3 ast
Anthony Davis – 24 pts, 4 reb, 3 blk
Ryan Anderson – 13 pts, 7 reb
Al-Farouq Aminu – 9 pts, 11 reb, 5 ast, 4 stl

A win over a young and inexperienced Magic team to get our first W of the season. Andrew Wiggins is the real deal for sure as he went off for 33 points in this one. He’s going to be the brightest young star in the CSL next to Marcus Smart and Anthony Davis for years!

Regular Season - Sim 2 Pelicans– 109
Regular Season - Sim 2 Cavaliers– 126

Eric Gordon – 28 pts, 3 ast
Marcus Smart – 22 pts, 6 reb, 4 ast, 1 stl, 1 blk
Anthony Davis – 15 pts, 10 reb, 3stl, 3 blk
Mike Dunleavy – 13 pts
Ryan Anderson – 13 pts, 6 reb, 1 stl

Defense just didn’t show up in Cleveland as they shot a blistering 53% from the floor against us and dominated the glass +15. Both teams turned the ball over 20 times while we shot 47 FTs to their 37, but we were cold from the floor. Tough loss to swallow.

Went 0-2 this sim. Not too surprised as we played two of the west's top teams.

Dropped the first one 119-103 to OKC.

JR Smith led us with 32 points on 13-22 shooting. Rivers had his second good game in a row to begin the season, scoring 14 points to go with 8 assists and 4 rebounds. Carson played 26 minutes and fouled out, but scored 13 points with 3 assists and 5 more turnovers. Davis was in foul trouble once again, and played just 29 minutes, but had 13 points, 6 rebounds and 5 blocks. MCW had another good game off the bench, scoring 10 points with 7 assists. Our other rookie Saric also is off to a fast start and scored in double digits both games, scoring 10 points with 5 rebounds in this one.

Overall, a bad loss to a great team, but there were definitely positives to take out of it.

Next we dropped a close one, 98-91 to Denver.

JR had another big scoring night as he had 35 points on an efficient 14-18 shooting. Two great games from him. Davis had his first double-double of the season, posting a 13-13 line with 4 blocks. Carson's numbers weren't outstanding, but he filled the stat sheet with 10 points, 8 rebounds, 5 assists, 2 steals and 6 turnovers. Turnovers seem to be an issue with our PG and team in general, not just Carson.

Despite 2 losses, I'm pretty happy with how this sim went. Definitely some good individual play, and when you know you're going to have such a bad season, games like these where your youth and future of the team play well are encouraging.

1-1 Sim

Magic now 1-2

Orlando 106 @ New Orleans 131

Is it fair to say a new career high in just Wiggins 2nd game? The rookie goes for 33 against the Hornets in the loss. Ricky Ledo adds 20 and Giannis has 12 points and 9 assists while Noel has 10 points and 8 rebounds.

Golden State 95 @ Orlando 105

Ricky Ledo puts up 26 in this first win of the season for the Magic. Wiggins has a horrible night, shooting 3 for 17 from the floor. Noel looks good again with 13 points, 12 rebounds and 2 blocks.

It's early (only 3 games played) but Ledo is looking great as the 6th man off the bench. 21.0 ppg on 54.1% shooting and 47.1% from three point range.

Next up Cleveland comes to the Magic Kingdom.

TOR 80 @ BRO 97

Rondo : 24 pts, 6 reb, 7 ast

We defended well to Raptors' stars (Pierce 8 and Jefferson 6) and all of our starting lineup scored 12 points or more. We make 30 points in fast breaks, a lot.

BRO 115 @ MIA 113

Gay : 35 pts and 19/26 FT Shocked
Lopez : 36 pts, 8 reb

It seems to me that the goikiri's high post offense working well. Gay + Boozer + Brook scored 87 points.
