Re: Regular Season - Sim 48
Lost to the Lakers again, this time as a result of getting killed on the turnover battle. Still holding with the 5th pick spot though, a half-game behind the Spurs and Kings that could see us move as high as 7th as soon as a couple sims. But we're also only a half-game ahead of the Magic.

2/7 - Utah Jazz, 93 @ Minnesota Timberwolves, 108
Kevin Love - 28 points, 7 rebounds, 2 assists
Ben McLemore - 17 points, 4 assists, 2 rebounds
Jeremy Lin - 16 points, 4 rebounds, 2 assists, 1 steal
Kevin Love - 28 points, 7 rebounds, 2 assists
Ben McLemore - 17 points, 4 assists, 2 rebounds
Jeremy Lin - 16 points, 4 rebounds, 2 assists, 1 steal
This was an absolute must win for us after dropping 3 straight, and I'm pleasantly surprised with the result. Beating one of the best teams in the league by double figures isn't something I've come to expect this year. I made some strat changes, and I think that had an impact on us winning this game, or at least I'd like to think so. We'll see in our upcoming games against GSW and LAC.
Love was phenomenal this game, 28 points on above 50% shooting, and he got to the line for 10 FTs. Ben McLemore scored 17 points on 8 shots, but I guess that's the price dapralbe plays when he uses such a high defensive intensity. Marc Gasol and Parsons were meh, and no one else on this team had much of an impact, including Willie Cauley who only scored 6 points with 3 rebounds. Disappointing he isn't living up to his #8 draft pick.
Next game Golden State comes to Minnesota after we lost to them a few games ago.

Tyreke Evans – 31 pts, 7 reb, 4 ast, 1 stl
Luol Deng – 19 pts, 7 reb
Kawhi Leonard – 15 pts, 4 reb, 8 ast, 4 stl
Marcus Smart – 29 pts, 5 ast, 1 stl, 1 blk
Anthony Davis – 25 pts, 8 reb, 2 ast, 4 blk
Carl Landry – 18 pts, 4 reb
DeAndre Jordan – 11 pts, 5 reb, 3 blk
Even though the Kings only shot 40% from the floor, they hung in with us as they beat us on the glass and doubled up the points from beyond the arc. Marcus Smart and Anthony Davis just made it a point to get to the free throw line as they combined to shoot 31 of our team’s 49 free throws. A little home cooking against the commissioner never hurt nobody!

Ricky Ledo – 15 pts
Jahii Carson – 14 pts, 3 ast
Shabazz Muhammad – 11 pts, 3 reb, 1 stl
Marcus Smart – 27 pts, 5 reb, 2 ast
Greivis Vasquez – 20 pts, 6 ast, 1 stl
Jose Calderon – 14 pts, 7 ast
Anthony Davis – 10 pts, 10 reb, 1 stl
An easy home win over the lowly Celtics. We zoned them hard and they struggled to shoot the rock from deep, or from anywhere for that matter. We were also able to keep Alex Len and Patric Young off of the glass which was key.

119 - 107 L vs Portland
Very pleased with my teams performance as Collison went for 25/5/5 on Damian Lillard who went for 16/13. Kaman with 17/8/3 and Tristan Thompson with the double double (13/10/ 3blks) but man, I am really loving me some Kelly Olynyk who had 14/5, great fit.
Gallinari with 3pts 2rebs 2asts 2stls in limited action off the bench.
Great game andrei

Re: Regular Season - Sim 48
Fuck...accidentally closed my tab before I posted it...Anyways, we currently have the league's longest winning streak right now at 7 games in a row with the Pelicans sitting at 6 games straight.
DeMar led us with 26 points, 7 rebounds, 3 assists, 2 steals, and a blocked shot on 11-26 shooting. He didn't get to the foul line much but didn't need to. George Hill has really stepped up in the absense of Teague and Mayo, going for 24 points and 8 assists on 9-17 shooting and 6-11 from downtown.
David West nothced another double double with 14 points and 10 rebounds. Bogut was good with 9 points, 10 rebounds, 2 assists, and 2 steals with a blocked shot. Frye was big off the bench in 19 minutes, adding 9 points and 6 rebounds on 4-5 shooting. Jamaal Franklin is really showing his rawness right now, struggling to find his shot on 2-9 shooting but did manage 2 blocks, 3 assists, and 2 rebounds. DJ Cooper also struggled form the field too but it's all good.

OKLAHOMA CITY 85 - 94 WASHINGTON
Bad game. Predictable loss as we have no one to defend Blake, he went for 39 against Anderson. Anderson is supposed to play 20 minutes and played 35, defending Griffin full time. If we had Nene and Brewer to defend Blake we'd have won this one. What counts is that we lost the game, so we need to find a way to play without our guys.
OKLAHOMA CITY 119 - 106 PHILADELPHIA
Bynum and Gordon had huge games, Williams was very efficient for them, but in the end we got the win. Deron was amazing, the same can be said about George, we sank 14 deep balls as a team and walked away from Philly with a win. Nicely done team.
No "The Good / The Bad" for today. I just want my guys to be healthy, please come back Nene, we really need you.

Re: Regular Season - Sim 48
These 50-point games are becoming nightly occurrences.
With 54 points, 16 rebounds, 5 steals, 6 assists, 21-27 shooting, no turnovers and no fouls, this is probably Lebron's best all-around game of the season, but it is also his 5th 50 point game in 7 games!
We beat Milwaukee 125-100. Dirk had 15/6/5, Kobe had 24, and Mo Williams had 11 assists, as we outplayed Milwaukee in every stat with the exception of free throws (20-27 to 21-27).

Huge win on the road against the Central Division leading Pistons. Wiggins won the battle and the war in this game against Carmelo. The "Young Guns" of Orlando force 23 turnovers against the Pistions. Team is 3-1 since the trade for Garnett and Micic.

Warriors def. Nuggets 102-92
Rajon Rondo: 22pts, 9ast, 6stl, 5reb on 11/23FG
Klay Thompson: 22pts, 9ast, 6reb, 3stl but 4/12 from 3pt
Tyler Hansbrough: 11pts, 16reb, 5/10FG
First game without Bledsoe in the rotation. Solid outing, glad we won but definitely some flaws. Need to tone down the defense forsure without Bledsoe in there as Burke fouled out and was 4/12 from the field. Road trip coming up, don't expect to win more than 1 :/

The Knicks always smoke us but they're a tough unit. On a good run right now with only one loss in however many games.

Decent 15 point win on the road against the Suns. Despite it being the Suns, road wins have been tough to come by for us since WB went down. Pretty remarkable that we are only 3 games back from 1st with Westbrook out.
Beal, Horford and Gasol have been keeping the ship afloat during his absence that's for sure. I look forward to our 1st round playoff matchup where we can play the underdog/spoiler/upset role.

Win at HOU - 119-107
Wow big win at HOU. Aldridge did not shoot well but finished with 25/13. Lillard had a quiet night with 16 and 13 assists. He only played 28 mins but not sure why as he is healthy and wasn't in foul trouble. Perhaps Coach Johnson decided to give him a rest after all them 50 point games. Ridnour filled in nicely for him with 6/6 and Bradley scored 15. Henson had 12/7 and 5 blocks. Darren Collison and Iggy led Houston with 25 and 19. Kaman also played well with 17/8

W vs. MIA
Durant had 63 points and 29 FTA's but we completely took Thomas and Ellis out of the game which led to a close victory.
Varejao had 17/11/4 and Sessions had 14/2/8, both off the bench. Cousins dropped 30 and Barnes had a good game with 26/5 but was clearly the second best SF in the game...by far.
Next up is CHA.

W: New York Knicks 129 @ 99 Toronto Raptors
Ricky Rubio: 15 points, 22 assists, 6 steals
Chris Bosh: 28 points, 7 rebounds, 3 assits, 1 block
Jeremy Lamb: 21 points off the bench
A 37-18 first quarter nearly decided the game, as we gained a nice lead an kept on building on it till the 35 point lead we got in the 4th quarter.
Third 22 assist game for Rubio this season, as he now holds the 5 first most assists record in the CSL with 27,23,22,22,22, those last 3 tied with Lillard (22).
Slowly building a new winning streak, now at 3 in a row.

Oklahoma City Thunder - 119, Philadelphia 76ers - 106 (Loss)
The first game following the adoption of the new depth chart, the Sixers take a tough, hard-fought loss. Impressive offensive displays from Andrew Bynum and Eric Gordon, 34 and 32 respectfully, are all for nought as the Sixers get outlasted by the OK Thunder. Although the starters put in a decent game, it seems that the bench was not given a sufficient opportunity to make a difference on the court. This will most likely be addressed in the next few games as the new management is still in the process of evaluating the newly acquired talent and mixing up the strategy in order to see what works with this roster.

Lost to the Magic as already chronicled in the article. Not thrilled about it, but I'll let my guys give up one here and there from time to time before panicking.

Playing at their home-court and looking deeper into the fact that we're being torched by PFs after Nene and Brewer went down, yes I'm serious.
They're no pushovers, but missing Nene and Brewer, two guys supposed to guard Blake for 30 minutes, would be a completely different game.
When both teams are fully healthy we match up against them really well, but when we only have Howard, Anderson and Diaw to log minutes at the interior, going against Blake and JV, it becomes way more difficult.
Still we lost the game and injuries can happen every time. I just want to have a healthy team come playoff time.
