Nets: Young big-three proyect
The Brooklyn Nets have reached separate agreements on trades that will send Metta to Minnesota, Green and Boozer to San Antonio, Kwame Brown and Adreian Payne to Cleveland , Milicic to L.A. and Stephen Curry to Atlanta.
The Nets receive Blatche and Nick Young from the Wolves, Shannon Brown & McCollum from the Cavaliers, Fernandez and Delonte West from the Jazz and Udoh from Spurs and two of the best youngers of CSL Beal from Lakers and Barnes from the Hawks.
Big Three's have become a trend in the NBA. It's becoming more crucial for a team to have three superstars if they even want to dream about competing for a championship. It started out with the Celtic's Big Three hooking up in Boston and winning a championship in 2008.
“I feel great about my choice. Our team, our roster, is very impressive to me. We have a lot of hard workers who’ve been in here, getting it in, getting to know each other. I’m real excited. They just want to get better. We have young fellas that play hard and everybody wants to get better and everybody wants to do it together. Whenever you are able to be a part of something like that, it’s special" said goikiri
All successful trios have been formed around a big man (Thomas Robinson) and a guard (Bradley Beal), and the third player can usually be any non-overlapping position (Harrison Barnes). Take the three most famous trios of the modern era as examples.
The San Antonio Spurs made do with Tim Duncan (power forward/center), Tony Parker (point guard) and Manu Ginobili (shooting guard).
The Boston Celtics won a title with Ray Allen (shooting guard), Paul Pierce (small forward) and Kevin Garnett (power forward/center).
The Miami Heat have become back-to-back champions with LeBron James (small forward/power forward), Dwyane Wade (shooting guard) and Chris Bosh (power forward/center).
In each situation, teams have had a healthy mix of big guys and small guys. The true key to making a Big Three work is ensuring that players have a distinct set of skills. Redundancy is not an option.
"In offensive for example, we have a lot of options. Beal is a 3-point shooter, Barnes dominate the mid-range jump and drives and Robinson is good in post. We will start with Standard set offense because we have many new players." said goikiri. "In defense, Udoh and Matthews will be our defensive specialists, that does not mean the rest of guys are bad defenders, we have doubts whether we should use zone or not"

I love Beal. In the first go around of this league I traded for Beal and he was a stud for me.

This roster has come so far since the off-season when goikiri kept talking about the high post as the team's savior... obviously, that didn't work.

You have lots of CAP this offseason and young kids on cheap contracts to build around. Will be very interesting to see what happens with your team come FA time!

Huge trade, still in shock over here.
Just add the pieces around Beal/Barnes and you'll be good.

Beal may break out even more now that he won't have his touches handcuffed by a superstar!
