Portland win
RIP CITYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
The last championship of this era belongs to the Portland Trailblazers. Thanks to all the GMs that congratulated us.
We built a team with proud players. Players that did not make excuses. We played and won through injuries, controversy and criticism. But we stayed the course. We stayed with our program and believed in our players and coaching staff.
We were led by a great coach Avery Johnson and his staff Larry Krystkowiak, Derrick Hardy and Kim Hughes. Shortly before the season, we extended all 4 of these guys to long term deals. It payed off.
Your champions are
Avery Bradley - Defensive stopper and the heart of this team. He went to the bench after an awful start but played through it and found his role.
Damian Lillard - Super player, champion and the Franchise
Jackie Carmichael - Played mostly in D-League but we saw much potential in this high-IQ big man
John Henson - One of the most famous players on Portland team, he developed into a Defensive expert and also shot 50%+ from the field.
Kyle Korver - Veteran that allowed Lillard, Aldridge and co to operate in Isolation. Proves that its not all about cool ratings and many stars
LaMarcus Aldridge - All-Star scoring big man who was going to play his entire career in Portland
Luke Ridnour - Veteran backup PG who showed that he still has a lot left in his tank and played well for us off the bench
Meyers Leonard - Phenomenal scorer and rebounder. He developed so much since joining CSL.
Michael Beasley - Sharpshooter from downtown. He can score in bunches and played a key role off the bench
Ray Allen - Still the top shooter in the league, his role was to spread the floor. Best man for the job
Samuel Dalembert - Defensive big man who lost most of his minutes due to the fast development of Henson and Leonard but was still very valuiable
Sergey Karasev - Young player with super high IQ and great potential. We wanted to resign him to a long term deal and stick with him as a shooter after Allen's retirement
Shane Battier - Veteran defensive expert did not paly much but played big
Steve Novak - Low TO player sho was a key veteran off the bench. Did we mention shooting?
Tobias Harris - Still very young with super high IQ, Handling and defense. We were working on his three point shot to turn his into the ultimate SF in CSL
Would like to say a few words about the super freak – Damian Lillard. Last season, there was an article posted about Lillard being the best point guard in CSL. We faced a lot of criticism for making that announcement.
Before the start of this season and after LeBron trade, we announced that we have the best player in the division, perhaps even the conference. Most of the replies were long lists of players that are better than anybody on the Blazers roster. But we believed. Despite getting a dozen or so trade offers for Lillard (including some with All-League players), we believed and stayed with our course. At some stage we got an offer from a playoff team to pick a combination of any players on their roster for Lillard. But he stayed in Portland
We had no idea how good Lillard is going to be. Perhaps too good. He absolutely dominated this season and it was a no brainer to build our offense around him. The ‘Lillards’ as one hater GM called us…. It was a good run.
In conclusion, we, at Portland, winners of March Madness and CSL Championship can proudly announce that, even for a very short period of time, Damian Lillard was the best player in CSL…

Lillard was more OP than Marcus Smart. Go figure!

Re: Portland win
Its only fitting that the man who caused us to restart gets the final championship.

Re: Portland win
Add in Kevin Durant's 40.5 ppg and LeBron James' 40.1 ppg as well as Marcus Smart averaging 32.4 in just his second season and there are four reasons for the restarts lol.
