Portland sends
Louis Williams - 5,450,000

NY sends
Steve Novak - 3,445,947

POR accept: Williams is not getting much PT so I have no issues trading him. Novak is automatic from downtown and he will fit in nicely as an extra veteran shooter

Knicks accept!

And the last 'original' Knick finally leaves town too (Felton remains, but he left to Houston before coming again last season so doesn't count).

Maybe the best shooter in the league, Novak wasn't getting much playing time this year after getting Babbitt this summer. As much as we wanted him to stay, financially we needed to free the $3.75million he's earning next season, and that's what this trade is all about for us.
Anyway I'm happy to ship him to a team that will make good use of him, so I wish him the best in Portland.

Williams comes as an expiring, but he might help us in case of injuries, as we could use him as a backup PG-SG.

Great dealing andrei Wink

This trade does not abide by the 1.50x rule, NYK is absorbing too much salary. Please re-work.

DECLINED.
