Suns confirm. We're betting the Jazz and dapralbe have enough to make the playoffs again next season, and this is about shipping out a guy who doesn't fit our system for one that should. McGary's shooting fell off the cliff when he got to Atlanta, but that was due to the lack of viable point guards... a situation we now have, but one that can be remedied via draft or FA.

Now hopefully I can turn McGary into the next Maric. Very Happy

Confirmed. McGary is a very good low post scorer already and although his potential isn't sky high his IQ for a big is excellent. Good rebounder and shotblocker as well but his STOP% of 33 worried me long term. He had some huge games for us though (dropped 23/29 on LAL) and I'm sure he'll be even better given consistent minutes and player preference.

The pick swap isn't a huge deal for us, I doubt SAS drops off a cliff this season and Kemba Walker gives us flexibility. He put up 18/4/6 on a STOP% of 89 and 0.8 PA/SF as the 1st option for PHX. He is an above average 3 point shooter as well. Like J.Smith we are getting a low FG% player who might thrive with less pressure. At worst Kemba is a dynamic change of pace guard who will lead our second unit and the deal opens up minutes in our frontcourt as well.
