Atlanta - Sacramento
Sacramento Kings Send:
Josh Smith - $16,205,592
Total $$$ Sent: $16,205,592
Atlanta Hawks Send:
Jason Terry - $5,450,000
Glen Davis - $6,600,000
Los Angeles Clippers 2016 First Round Pick
Total $$$ Sent - $12,050,000 (Works with 150% rule - $18,075,000)
Kings accept. We get everything we want out of a deal for Josh Smith. Cap relief for this season, expiring contracts, and a future first rounder. Smith is a chucker on an enormous contract that we wanted absolutely nothing to do with, making this an easy deal for us to do.

Re: Atlanta - Sacramento
Confirmed. This is a low risk, high reward move for us as after Monroe's extension kicked we no longer had enough caproom to be a player in FA. LAC has been a top team the past few seasons so the pick isn't a huge loss and Terry/Davis didn't play for us. We will look to retain the services of Chalmers using bird rites and haven't ruled out bringing back Okafor depending on the interest in Pek and McGary. We have our MLE which is what we would have had before this deal.
When SAC did have a GM in 2012, Smith put up 17/9/5 on 1.7 stls/2.9 blks (45% FG) and was one of the better two way players in the league. He made 2012 - CSL All-Defense 1st Team, 2012 - CSL All-League 3rd Team, 2012 - All-Star Game Starter and he is only 28 years old with his contract ending at age 31. We'll work on his shot preference and he goes from a 1st to a 3rd option which should help his efficiency some.
We have four starting bigs now which has to be addressed but it's not a bad problem to have as we didn't move core pieces here.
