Re: Trade Chatter
The more I look at it, I believe its epic for Miami because it wont be a problem to lose IT anymore. Ellis provides great scoring and Teague is a great two way pass first PG...
Looked at CHI roster again.. they now only got Rose left for their backcourt.. Christon is a rookie and Hardaway Jr. still needs time. Just cant see the reason why they agreed, and their explanation isnt really helpful either... Why cant you pass on Splitter? You got already Noah.

Re: Trade Chatter
Man, Chicago just keeps trading for frontcourt players. Don't get it. Too many good players for too few minutes, even if they trade Boozer.
I was a big fan of Ellis too. If Chicago hadn't resigned him, I would have gone after him pretty hard in free agency because I think he would have gone under the radar.
Steal for Miami.

Gotta give OP credit though. He works the lines a lot so can't blame him for getting good deals.

OP came thru Chicago like a 1920's swindler goin' from town to town on his horse and wagon sellin' "Hair Tonic" to bald men.
Not sure Chicago read the post where I stated Miami would have to come off of Perry Jones III to make the Alec Brown trade happen.
Added Ellis, added Teague just to get Brown.

Haha you would know from our back-and-forths. I always send out feelers when I randomly think of them, and never really pull the trigger unless I really feel it's definitely beneficial for me and something I won't regret.
Fewer quality trades is better than a ton of mediocre ones IMO.

This was actually a separate deal, discussed after we thought the Gobert/Brown swap was processed. It wasn't the focal point of the trade obviously, just a little side deal to include what we couldn't do before.

Re: Trade Chatter
Chicago made some questionable trades but the end result isn't bad:
Rose/ [MLE]
T.Allen/Hardaway
Johnson/Beasley
Splitter/Gibson
Noah/Nogueira
Interesting set up, in true "Chi-town" fashion you have great defense and a lot of hustle guys who will hit the boards and set hard screens. Good depth too, the glaring weakness is spacing from the backcourt but you could start Hardaway if he takes a leap after TC and have Allen off the bench.
Chicago could be one of the top teams in the East this season.

Chicago could be one of the most overpaid teams in the East this season and next season as well.
That's my interpretation, have you seen their payroll? Is projected payoff worth it?
This followup trade dug a financial grave for the Bulls.
End of the day it's the GM's decision which I fully support.

Agree with the payroll. Rose/Splitter/Johnson/Noah/Gibson are locked up on big contracts for a while, that's true. He went all in, let's see where the chips fall.

Re: Trade Chatter
True dat, Boozer for Allen Beasley woulda been a simpler solution cause it honestly looks like Chi-town wanted Allen to replace Ellis but BK talked him into taking JJ as a scorer when they already had Gay who's expiring and probably just as or more efficient than Johnson.
The Bulls may even prefer JJ to Gay, just looking at finances and numbers from my end I think the decision would be either Allen or Johnson but again, that's my view, Chicago may be better as a team for it.

Re: Trade Chatter
What exactly did Utah get out of thar deal? They just added a worn down and overpaid Gerald Wallace and a mid 1st while giving up a 1st of their own.
Edit: not that Tyrus is much better

Re: Trade Chatter
Yeah Boston is looking pretty decent right about now, really like the direction and approach that was taken.
Good to see Iguodala set the market for Hayward
Yeah Utah took a step backwards with that move although Wallace may be able to somewhat resurrect the last of his career, Utah going with Conley Batum Wallace Ibaka Favors isn't too bad though.

Now adding Tyrus Thomas, instead of Wallace, it looks like a slight overpay :/.. Please, please, please BI, keep your team together.. If you do a rebuild out of a sudden now, I will come over to Kanada to hunt you down!
Anyway, love to add Hayward. even if its maybe a slight overpay..

Why we changed from Wallace to Tyrus... I dont even get it, too.
Like Willy said, getting a line up Conley - Wallace - Batum - Favors - Ibaka doesnt look bad + he would have added a trade up (ATL for UTAH) + a 2017 first + a great defense backup center with Melo (above 75 potentials in BLK and DEF, which he should reach this offseason/TC

This trade should be waived - nothing useful in there for UTAH, especially for the price they paid

Depends on the firsts. Cant get why we changed from
Wallace to Tyrus though. But he wanted to.
But whatever myles decideds. Obviously.
Just trying the OP style; shooting offers around to see whats possible. Thats the result.
Like said, depends on the firsts.

Greg Monroe, Harrison Barnes, Kyle Anderson, Kemba Walker, Kentavious Caldwell-Pope, Thomas Robinson, Anthony Randolph are all 25 or under. As for hunting me down....
Bring it.

Re: Trade Chatter
We will see utah results, remember this is a team with an specific tactic. Tyrus is expiring the next year i don't want hayward with 13 million contract and have melo and two first pick. If no accept the next year nothing with qualifyng offer.

Re: Trade Chatter
13m/year for Hayward is horrible. My god, I honestly can't see what team out there would give him that.
I understand the Jazz logic to pick up a first and Melo, as well as an expiring for flexibility. Anything beats paying Hayward that.
I actually think UTA wins here.
However, had UTA just waited it out and signed Hayward at a good deal, then that would've been best.

Re: Trade Chatter
good for google translate my disposal , so I explain I'm doing a better team with ratings and strategy, and sincerely hayward might sound bad would be my twelve player does not force me not worth missing a few stops, and little game pace by I need an escort with more pressure and less scoring rating , so as ois , scoring is relative and must know how to take advantage of , because in the games shots ranging between 75 and 95 and no shots for everyone.
in another league playing pressure defense and only two guys who spend 50 , howard ellis and nearly sixty wins, I buy and payment ratings no names.
myles hayward as you said , is a more defensive jordan crawford , throws me off for what I want to play because it does not escort me .
this ultimately is a game of numbers and strategies to combine the best possible way based on some statistics.
Tyrus Thomas is the perfect substitute ibaka this year , I get a good poster though nothing of drawing fouls but improves as melo and first two rounds.
now with sincerity by a guy who is not worth me paying no more than eight million by .

Re: Trade Chatter
although it sounds bad so, for a player I would not pay more than eight million is a good deal, my goal is to get into playoffs and I sincerely believe that with hayward without the will to do the same if I get the kind of player that I want.
having to conley batum ibaka and favors, have good material, and maintain healthy finances, thomas tyrus for me is the ideal replacement for ibaka young melo good percentage and I can assert post. and two further rounds.

Re: Trade Chatter
I don't understand why anyone thinks Hayward is a good player, much less worth a $13m/year deal.
Here are some numbers for perspective:
12.2 PER, 52.4% TS, 49 HDL, 25.9% 3pt on 2.7 attempts, 49 IQ.
And all that on a whoppin' 21.2% USG, which will only get higher as his SCR rating goes up.
