Yeah, that's pretty bad. Smith and Howard...ouch.
Otherwise though, on the defensive end, I wouldn't want to try driving in with those two there, hah hah.

Re: Trade Chatter
If I want to advance all the way to the Finals, I know I have to beat a man named James aka The Beard.
With Corey and his almost perfect STP%, and Howard + Smith with weak-side help D, we MAY have a chance.
Don't wanna bet agains Harden, though. He's unstoppable.

Obviously not making the claim that either are terribly efficient at it, but I don't know many teams deep enough to play effective basketball if their starting PF and C are in foul trouble right off the bat. It's less about making free throws and more about those two being uncontested for easy interior points and dunks.
But point taken.

Wait...so are there no trade restrictions on players traded during the offseason ? I don't know why I was under the impression there was. So we can just flip them whenever after we trade for them ?

Re: Trade Chatter
30-day restriction, like all traded players.
Those trades are only going to be processed in Dec. 1, after Friday's sim.

Nop, it's going to happen..
Also, if I put Josh at SF, all other teams have to do is zone my team hard. I don't want that..
With Brewer and Smith we have 4 guys (along Kemba and George) who can occasionally knock down 3s. And Smith off the bench who can go in fire at any moment if teams decide to zone us..

Re: Trade Chatter
Yeah I can use High Post with Millsap as my backup C, or Ball moviment, or double post.. I think those 3 can be very good for my team.. Gonna have to make some tests not only at those offensive sets, also with preferences and DCs..
Hard time may be coming for OKC all over again.. :/

Re: Trade Chatter
Its not a bad trade. ATL has to start Hibbert at this point and Lowry is on backup duty I guess, which is what Kemba was on anyway. I would have liked to get my hands on Lowry.

Re: Trade Chatter
Charlotte is in disarray.
Reke wasn't or isn't the problem, Ramon Sessions then adding Dragic over Marshall is the issue. All are offense 1st guys and it relegates a guy like Amar'e practically useless as he becomes a cleanup guy basically.
I thought you had a winning formula and letting Kobe walk for Reke wasn't too too bad cause with Reke's HDL SCR DRFL making him drive more coulda helped offensively while Marshall
sets up other guys to score may have helped imo.
Not bad for Thunder unless they keep Hibbert then Gray is unnecessary, like it for the Kings as they have nothing to lose.

Not a fan of this trade for the Thunder, but that's probably because I hate Josh Smith in any DDS engine ever.

Again Hibbert is trade restricted.

You had just trade him for Lebrick!! Did you forget it? Do not still regret that man...
Re: Trade Chatter
30 days restriction, like Tyreke. He's trade elegible.
Sorry Q, better read the CBA few more times..

Oh that's true sorry!
Now Lebrick's trade has more sense
Re: Trade Chatter
I really like Terry's shooting ability for the Pels as they definitely need some outside shooting, but trading Robin Lopez makes that team reaaaaaally shallow behind DeAndre and Davis. Both Jason Smith and Carl Landry aren't going to stop anyone defensively, leaving them really vulnerable whenever those 2 come off the court... even if that's not often.

Re: Trade Chatter
I really like this trade alot for the Hornets, Asik wasn't really getting any burn though they may have been able to utilize him better but Afflalo added to the starting lineup should make them a whole lot better IF...
Kendall Marshall is starting, dude is being wasted on the bench while losses pile up when he could be starting and Sessions and Dragic could come off the bench for scoring punch but that's the GM's call.
Denver gets added big man depth, not sure who'll replace Afflalo as the starter though, maybe KCP.

Yeah - this sim will feature a dramatic shift in our strategy. But trust me when I tell you that, until I figure out the PERFECT system that utilizes Marshall the right way, simply replacing Sessions with him will do little to help the W column.
This team is just.... different.

It's different but you have the pieces in place, especially the pass 1st PG to get the most outta your team, not just one player as it seems you're focused on "making" MKG this season. He played great last season and this season as well but you guys were winning and that's better for both the team and player.
I'd think if you did Player Instructions to get guys in places on the court where they'd be more successful with a guy like Marshall running the show you'd turn it around.
Afflalo shoot 3's MKG drive more Amar'e postup more Kendall DON'T SHOOT/ pass more lol but something like that.
Season is young, they can turn it around.

Re: Trade Chatter
It will be interesting to see how you're going to play Afflalo and Marshall together on D. But if you can find the right system to "hide" them without giving up easy shots (you can do it with MKG and Varejao being great defenders), your offense can really win you more games.

Re: Trade Chatter
One of the more balanced trades I've seen, both parties really benefit here. KCP plays a similar role to Afflalo, and Asik gives DEN a sick 3 man rotation up front of Monroe/Pekovic/Asik.
CHA cashes in on Asik who wasn't getting the minutes to really justify his role on the team. Afflalo is a huge boost and will benefit from the playmaking ability of Marshall and MKG in paticular. Like others mentioned the defensive issues in the backcourt could be an issue BUT this team needed spacing and scoring from the SG spot in the worst way.

A very fair trade, but I like the move for Charlotte and even with Lebron that pick might end up being decent.

Re: Trade Chatter
Really smart for Charlotte. They needed somebody who could shoot worth a damn, and Afflalo should fit perfectly on that team.
I think a starting shooting guard is far more valuable than a backup center, so I'm not entirely sure why Denver even wanted Asik.
