Isaiah Thomas Resigns with Heat Thomas-isaiah-VIDEO

Isaiah Thomas has agreed to a new contract with the Miami Heat.

After winning a title with the Heat last season, it was an easy decision for Thomas to make. GM OrangeParka showed tons of loyalty to the point guard, making it a no-brainer for Thomas to sign the dotted line.

The contract will be for 5 years, $60 million total, $12 million a year.

It's deals like this that make us sports agencies happy. The kid was the last pick in the entire draft and has just hit it big for $60 million guaranteed and earned every penny of it. Congrats to Mr. Thomas and Ballers Inc. for getting this deal done and to the Miami Heat for locking up a budding young star in the league.

I bet there is an under-the-table arrangement for a deal after the two-month lockout. Perhaps a S&T was deemed too risky, so you overpay to ship Thomas to...... New Orleans for Gordon and Vesquez?

I would love for that to happen but I think op is too smart and good of a GM to put his team into even more financial trouble by getting a newly signed Greivis and Gordon after having just taken on Monta Ellis's new contract along with a resigned Hawes.

Not even sure Pelicans move Vasquez and Gordon for Thomas anyway unless the Heat add value from their end.

the salary is high but miami is doing a good job with his every move, many of their foreign court with good percentages and rejuvenating the template, that if I think Iman Shumpert, also would have been better base, but it certainly is a very complete team complying with ellis mounted to perfection if not during.
