No doubt, unbelievable creative, but if we would have known something like this is possible, LA would have tried the same for Reddick and we would have tried the same with Wallace.

If Jordan Hill is going to get maxed out, and I think this whole thing is incredibly creative by the way, I think the rule that we need to revisit is the three year requirement.
I don't see that as necessary, nor do I see any situation where a player not getting a 3 year deal in a S&T as an issue.
We are currently working on a comprehensive CBA FAQ, similar to Larry Coon's for the real CBA.
That rule exists because at NBA when you S&T someone, that player carries with him his bird rights.. So when you S&T a player who has 3 bird years, if he had a one year deal, he'd carry his bird years with him, and his new team could S&T again next Offseason.
When you put a minimum, that's because if the player is waived or don't have his options picked up, he'd be a FA without any bird rights, and the team could not S&T him again.
I think it's a nice rule, but of course, expandable.
If there is a way to keep that rule and allow 1+2 contracts for S&T that would be better, but if there's no such way I'm all in for dropping that rule.
For example, I don't think the Kings will S&T Jordan Hill again next summer, because to do so they'd have to keep his cap hold and it would limit their potential to offer 2 max deals. Even if they get nice return like I'm getting, still it's not worth a Max- contract FA..

Re: Jordan Hill Signs Massive One-Year Deal!
Was prematurely crowning Dylan GM/ Executive of the Year already with this "deal" for getting rid of the "face of the franchise" and Aaron Gray's contract without giving up MCW at the very least.
Meanwhile I hope they figure out a way to make it happen regardless of solution since this move will cripple OKC, gotta love it.

I'm leaning towards requiring a two year deal for all S&Ts. That way, an option can be used for flexibility.
For example, if DEN had wanted to S&T Dirk for two years at $20m per, I see no problem with that, even though it's only a two year deal.

Do you'd really think so man?
I'm "signing" a PG and a SG. All I need to do is sign a bad contract With them. I'm not gonna have CAP next year anyway, all that changes is that I'm paying taxes right now but I have two guys who, if work here, will be huge addictions. Also, I have more assets since Barea and Smith are good players.
Aaron can learn something from Dwight. Also he's gonna be one of our veteran leaders (at 29yo he's one of the oldest guys around hahaha)
Everything will be ok for OKC

Re: Jordan Hill Signs Massive One-Year Deal!
Well, just to notice, I've asked Hustle Inc. to post, but as they didn't, I'm gonna post it.
Even though it seems that S&T can't happen now due to the crazy CBA, we're going to advance with Hill's contract.
So, he's still signing with me for 1 year and 13,668,570
After the TRs are up, me and Dylan have agreed to make the same trade we were about to make now.
Thanks a lot for those who helped us solve all the problem, and I hope commish correct all those contradictory CBA things!
