Pierce remains in Canada, agrees with Raptors
Paul Pierce will remain in Canada for at least another year, as Pierce announced he resigned with the Raptors Friday morning.
"I really enjoyed my time in Toronto and it's important to me that they showed me a lot of loyalty. I'm excited to hopefully finish my career here with the Raptors."
Pierce's contract will be for 2 years, $10 million a year with a team option for year two.

Took a while but we finally got this done. Off season hasn't been that eventful but we've given ourselves a lot of financial flexibility for next season too without sacrificing too much (Serafin for Bogut at half the price).

Great one year deal - should provide a solid all around skillset - I'm guessing Pierce is your starting SF?

Correct, he will start with Williams backing up. Unless I find Oladipo/Suliamon can't handle the off guard just yet and then Pierce might play some SG with Williams at SF.

I'm not sure Pierce has the HDL to play SG but he's still a good shooter who can make plays for others. Good signing, Jennings/Pierce/Jefferson ain't bad for now. If Dipo takes a big step and you shore up the bench a that 8th seed could be had.

I wanted to add Pierce but the lack of full MLE really hurt us.

Definitely a concern. Also his rebounding at SF but we'll see how it goes.
