	1(15)	Honestly this team surprised the living hell out of me. I never expected them to be this good. 11-2 and rolling over the CSL right now. They had to dump some contracts to get under the hard cap, but this team is looking good. Good enough to win the CSL title. D-Rose has been incredible.
	2(12)	They're so good because they can just outscore everyone. Even with losing Tyson Chandler for the year, they have enough depth and talent to survive. I don't think they're a true CSL title contender because they're not very good defensively, but definitely an early season surprise.
	3(-)	James Harden is insaaaaane. He's averaging 39 points a game! Just scored 65. He's shooting 64% from the field. How the hell? Lord knows but whatever Willy is doing is working. Could definitely see a return to the CSL finals.
	4(23)	Congrats Washington. You shocked me and are actually a good team. I thought this team was going to flop by John Wall told me to STFU and it worked. So sorry Mr. Wall, take your number four ranking as an apology.
	5(14)	Another team that's shocking me. Some strange teams in this top 5. Detroit is just so balanced and really overall solid. I like Melo but can he carry them to a title? Might be a pretender, but won't make any judgements for a bit.
	6(-)	Write it down! This is my early season CSL champion pick. Showtime is back ladies and gentleman! Russell Westbrook just does not give a damn and is a top 5 CSL argument and arguably the best PG in the CSL. Al Horford going down for a bit hurts, but they'll be fine. I'm on the Lakers bandwagon.
	7(-)	I told you guys they were going to be good. Boogie is a MAN. He has a brain the size of a bottle cap but is ridiculously talented. He's fun to watch too. ALL ABOARD THE BOOGIE TRAIN!

	9(18)	RUBIIOOOOOOOOOO. MSG loves this virtual dude, I can tell. And this just reminds me of something I don't know why I didn't believe at the beginning of the season. NEVER doubt Jamal. Ever.
	10(17)	Marcus Smart has me almost speechless. We all knew he was going to be good, but this good thi soon? Really didn't expect that. For those that may not be paying attention, he's averaging 26 points and around 7 assists. Oh yeah, and that Anthony Davis guy is there too. But Rizzo still sucks.
	11(20)	Proved me wrong. Well done, Nuggets. Have slowed down recently, but the Nuggets have been off to a great start overall. Very balanced lineup, maybe no superstar but a bunch of very good players. CSL title contender though? Probably not.
	12(11)	Barely bumped down. More to do with other teams than with their play. Wolves have been about as good as I expected. Definitely a playoff squad but not a true contender quite yet.
	13(2)	Not exactly the start Lebron & Co. were hoping for. I'm concerned about their future, too. They'll at least be good with Lebron in town, but they threw away their future for Kobe and Dirk, who look really old, Dirk in particular.
	14(21)	The best backcourt in CSL is back now with Deron returning from injury. They'll be competitive with those two playing and the beast Nene down low. But they're not the powerhouse they've been the past two years anymore. Damn shame (NOT).
	15(26)	Well this is fun! It's not going to last but this is fun! They started really strong at 5-2, and have dropped to 7-8 since but still, so much fun! Faried and Teague are balling out and Bargnani and Andrew Harrison have both been very good. Oh so fun!
	16(10)	Thought they'd be a little bit better, but still a decent 7-6 start for Brooklyn. Rudy Gay is being typical Rudy Gay. Rondo is being typical Rondo. Brook Lopez is being typical Brook Lopez. Not really much to see here.
	17(4)	Rough start, but they're getting the ship righted. Locked up Paul George which is good. Dwight is good. Also hear they're shipping out Hibbert for a nice package. They'll be fine.
	18(9)	Also a tough start at 6-6, but DAMIAN LILLARD. He's sooooo good. Like so good. 28 and 7.5 good. Aldridge is alright too but LILLARD. They'll be okay.
	19(1)	WTF is going on here? KD is doing his job but what's going on with the rest of the team? Maybe trading all their good defensive centers wasn't the smartest thing the Heat have ever done? Who knows, I'm sure they'll be fine but definitely not the team that's won the past two championships.
	20(13)	Definitely not as good as I thought they'd be. Tyreke Evans turned out to be an epic fail for them, and rumors are he's headed back to his former team. Which former team? Take a wild guess.
	21(5)	Tim Duncan is done. Harsh reality. They're so bad, they lost to my KINGS. Think about that. Myles and his Spurs lost to my Kings! HAHA gets me every time.
	22(-)	Wade and Bynum are doing literally everything they can, but they can't win a whole lot of games just by themselves. The rest of the team is awful and that doesn't look to be changing any time soon.
	23(29)	They're actually not completely terrible! Interesting lineup with Thad Young playing center, that won't exactly work too well for long. But somehow Marcus Thornton is averaging 23 points a game. I mean, it's fun for now but this team is still going to lose 55+ games.

	25(19)	They tried a few different lineups, mostly with David West at small forward. Wasn't going to work. They should be better when DeRozan returns. Hopefully.
	26(15)	I really hoped this team would be good. #2 seed last season, I thought they'd be even better this year. Now they deal away Waiters and Jordan for Gordon and Anderson. Not really sure what to think. But at 3-11, they better hope to hell it works.
	27(-)	At least they've won two games in a row. Otherwise they're pretty terrible, but Dennis seems like he might have hit on something to get them to work. Hayward is becoming a stud though, that's fun.
	28(30)	Historically bad defense. Like head and shoulders worst defense of all time. But at least they have some talent. Carson has been pretty good, Ed Davis has been kind of weirdly good sometimes? Dario Saric and Austin Rivers have been real good though. And sort of maybe kind of have an all-star coming to town? Still suck though.

As your ranking says, I believe that, after a bad start, we'll do fine.
Hope it is enough to be a playoff team in that crowded West conference.

Nice rankings, a lot of surprise. Very competitive teams both conference are hard. Oklahoma miami and indiana loss much in rankings.
Our team utah is memphis (real nba) style team for play playoff no regular season, the most important is get playoffs no position.

Nuggets, in my opinion, are still part of a group of 2nd tier teams.
But I am continue to retool this team, so hopeful, we can continue to climb up.

Wish I could take the credit, fortunately James is just getting some really good looks along with boosting his PT up a few mins from 34+ to 38.

Really appreciate the #3 spot, gonna aim for the #1 spot but Chicago and Golden State are playing such great basketball at the moment it's gonna be tough. Great article Dylan.

Anyway, the team that really caught me off guard is WAS. They didn't make any major moves but the addition of Manu seems to have helped some and Wall/Blake/Jonas are a year older obviously. Jonas still needs preference work and I'm not sure they can sustain this but I was proven wrong with them.

Kinda ironic since he chased the Washington deal ($1,500,000yr/ 3yrs) to sit the bench over returning to Houston for 2yr vet min deal at $1,352,181per as a starter or backup PG.

It's Washington's GM making the difference with that team this season.

Wow, you're right. Geez, I guess Vesley/Crawford are doing just enough and Wall has upped his game from star to near superstar. Combine that with good game-planning and you have a force in the East.

Glad to be up at number 5. We've been playing good ever since we got Melo and it has been continuing excpet our other players have all developed a little more. Knight is still one of the most underrated guys in the league though and is playing crazy good next to him both offensively and defensively.

Chicago still a half game up on us though and they don't look to be slowing down anytime soon.

Well Waiters and Knight are very similar players so I'd say you were very successful.

We seem to be hovering just outside the top 10 in every ranking so far this season. We've started to turn it around after a mediocre start (though the loss to Dallas last night was rough, no way we should've dropped that game). Hoping to break the top 10 sometime soon. Not that it's bad to be considered a playoff team, but I feel like the talent is there to do a lot better.

I'd say Washington is still a little high imo. 9-2 is great and they're definitely far better than I imagined, but I still don't believe in them that much. Their best wins were against the Nuggs (barely) and Miami (but who hasn't beaten Miami this season) while their 2 losses came against contenders. Lost by 30 to Indy and 15 to Houston. They're taking care of the people they should beat, but not really challenging the big boys of the league. They play LA tonight, so we'll see what happens there.

Don't disagree with the ranking here, but it's still crazy to think that we're a game out of .500 and ranked 20th.

We need to figure something out, sooner rather than later.

Miami and Charlotte, the two teams in the Eastern Conference Finals last year, are looking like the two biggest disappointments thus far this season. Go figure!
