Expected loss @ POR.
They match up well with us, with 2 shooters matched up with my best driver stoppers, and Lillard who can drive at will against Lowry.
Games like that shows the world why I'm actually doing that trade with the Hawks.
I really do not believe that Kemba and Smith would get torched that much by Lillard / Aldridge. They combined for 71, but I highly doubt they can do that with my "new" defense.

Re: Regular Season - Sim 13
2 absolutely HUGE wins for us this sim after dropping 3 in a row, even with Kevin Love being injured.
Danny Granger absolutely carried us offensively this game. He shot 11/20 from the field and 6/8 from deep and was our leading scorer. McLemore threw in 20 points on 7/13 shooting. Damian Lillard runs the show over in Portland, and if he's not clicking, you've got a good chance to win. Lillard had 35 points, sure, but he shot the ball 29 times and made only 12 of those. They shot 37% from the field and 30% from deep while we shot 44% from the field and 37% from deep. This game showcases how much McLemore means to this team when Love isn't clicking (even if he had 14 rebounds).
After being called out by the CSL Tonite! crew and WillyJakkz about why they even signed him in the first place, Danny Granger wins us 2 games in a row to silence the critics. Again, Love didn't have the best game, but Granger and Parsons... and basically everyone else picked it up (the value of having a "starting 7"). We shot 43% from the field and 42% from 3, while the Pelicans shot 39% from the field and 0% from deep (lol). Also, Marcus Smart can suck it. He shot 6/17 and got 19 points versus the 48 points he got against Jrue. 6 players were in double figures this game. Just an absolutely awesome team performance to take down one of the top teams in the West. And we ended their 8 game winning streak!
Now, we're back at #3 in the division and have the same record as Denver, the #2. We have no games in tomorrow's sim, but we play Atlanta on Monday. That should be a fun game, even if Love won't be at 100% with a sore back for the next 5 days.
December 1 - Portland Trailblazers, 102 @ Minnesota Timberwolves, 106
Danny Granger - 28 points, 5 rebounds, 1 assist, 1 steal, 1 block
Ben McLemore - 20 points, 3 rebounds, 2 assists, 3 steals
Jeremy Lin - 20 points, 6 rebounds, 6 assists
Kevin Love - 7 points, 14 rebounds, 2 assists
Danny Granger - 28 points, 5 rebounds, 1 assist, 1 steal, 1 block
Ben McLemore - 20 points, 3 rebounds, 2 assists, 3 steals
Jeremy Lin - 20 points, 6 rebounds, 6 assists
Kevin Love - 7 points, 14 rebounds, 2 assists

Re: Regular Season - Sim 13
Mayo led us with 25 points on 12-22 shooting but 1-6 from down town. Gasol with 17/9. George Hill 13 points and 7 assists, Vuc with another double double, 13/13. West off the bench for 11 points. Couldn't handle the Jazz despite them not having Derrick Favors.

Re: Regular Season - Sim 13
I still think it's really weird we did 2 sims in 1 day lol...given Sim 12 wasn't on time for whatever reason, shouldn't that just mean Sim 13 is delayed 24 hours so teams can make roster adjustments ? Anyway....not complaining, the more the better.

Eric Bledsoe - 24pts, 5reb, 1stl
Klay Thompson - 16pts, 2stl, 1blk
David Lee - 15pts, 6reb, 2blk
Andrei Kirilenko - 14pts, 7reb, 2blk, 1stl
Key Notes:
I figured we would lose this game, given i didn't change the strategy. Probably should have zoned them since they're one of the worst 3pt shooting teams in the league...oh well. We shot an uncharacteristic 7/20 from deep and Greg Monroe killed us, like most guys who play David Lee do with ease. Curry really hurt us going 4/13 and 0/6 against Jrue, who is a great defender. We play them again next sim, this time on our court.

Tyler Hansbrough - 17pts, 9reb, 3stl
Key Notes:
We shot 66% from deep going 10/15...probably because Spurs didn't have enough time to make adjustments. But we only shot 40% from the field. Our two PFs, Lee and Hansbrough, tore the old man Duncan to shreds which led us to the win. Klay brought up his 3PT% average to 50% which is just beautiful. We still really need a defensive PF though...badly.

Smitty liked you guys to win the division but if Granger is winning you guys games like this with Love not playing so well maybe Love is the problem, I suggest you trade him.
Way to play and get the team on track Jake, keep it up.

I think that Love's 2 bad games in a row has more to do with playing really, really good PFs. Even in the first game we played Portland this season, LaMarcus shut Love down, and he did it again this time. And then he went up against Anthony Davis who leads the league in blocks. When he played some less-strong defensive PFs, he put up 20/10 easy, and 40/20 against Boozer.
In any case, whether it's Kevin Love or Danny Granger or Ben McLemore or Jeremy Lin, there's always going to be someone the other team can't guard. So maybe Love doesn't play like Harden and drop huge numbers every game, and that's okay.
Maybe I'm wrong and you do need a star to takeover every game, who knows. I guess we'll find out.
EDIT: Forgot, but Kevin Love played injured both games I think.

Better performance but came up short against Indiana. Jennings and LeBron had a shootout to determine who could put up the most bricks.

I don't know whether the game shows this or not, but how many of his shots were blocked? I want to know if Chris Kaman's 8 blocks and Stiemsma's 10 blocks all came against Jennings or Seraphin.bt (TOR) wrote:Better performance but came up short against Indiana. Not too happy about the 1-1 sim. Lost at home to Atlanta in a terrible offensive game and then beat the Magic on the road by forcing them to shoot the three ball. Not sure what happened in Atlanta, but both Drummond and Knight fouled out due to us changing up the intensity of our defense this sim. Going to have to go back to the old way.

Re: Regular Season - Sim 13
Thought we had the night off, actually played Memphis tonite and got the win.
Gotta update rotation for blowout games, can't afford to have guys namely Harden play 42mins in a meaningless end of game.
Harden slips into 2nd place on the scoring list after tonite's sim, gonna have to do something about that.

Lost at MIN - 102-106
Something not clicking for us vs Minny. We seem to be playing very passively. Lillard and LMA shoot a lot but the other guys are not stepping up when needed. Usually reliable Henson was 3-11 and Leonard 7-16. We al;so blocked only 1 shot the entire game. Need to work on that. We managed to shut down Love somehow but Granger stepped up big time. Lillard finished with 35-8-8 but shot poorly
Win vs OKC - 92-143
We shot 60% FG, 73% threes, 91% FTs vs Thunder's 38% FG, 29% threes and 72% FT. We also had 31 assists and 13 TOs vs OKCs 18 assists and 19 TOs. And we outrebounded them by 10. So no surprise this was our highest scoring game of the season as we won by 51. It just did not click for the Thunder that night

Loss against Miami at home
I forgot to hit the Button so Schröder and Len played with an injury.. could be the reason both scored 0 points ..
at least Hayward bounced back and nabbed his next 25+ game as he scored 27 points, 6 rebounds and 3 assists. Bazz added 14 and Micic 8 points and 5 assists off the bench. Pretty bad game by us overall.

Re: Regular Season - Sim 13
W: Brooklyn Nets 111 @ 130 New York Knicks
Ricky Rubio: 21 points, 12 asists, 5 steals, 2 rebounds
Chris Bosh: 22 points, 6 rebounds
Kosta Koufos: 22 points, 11 rebounds off the bench
Raymond Felton: 6 points, 10 asists in 11 minutes of play!
We had it clear: 'Let Rudy shoot'. And he indeed had a rare great shooting night as he went for 42 points, but the W wasn't in danger the whole game, as we managed to win each and every quarter.
A 59-73 (+14) scoreboard at halftime @MSG, and the 130 points at the end of the game shows that too.
Appart from Rubio and Bosh putting their usual numbers, we need to mention Kosta's big games lately. Our six man is averaging 18.2 ppg and 8.6 rebounds in the last 5 games, on a great 64.1% shooting on those 5 games.
Felton also had a great game, dishing out 10 asists in just 11 minutes of play!
So we take the first one against the Nets. Let's see if they can battle a bit more in the next one..
W: New York Knicks 132 @ 123 Atlanta Hawks
Ricky Rubio: 18 points, 16 asists, 6 steals
Chris Bosh: 26 points in 28 minutes of play
Chase Budinger: 20 points, 4 rebounds
Quality win on the road against the powerful Hawks squad.
Both teams shot a great 57% from the field. The difference is that we managed to get 86 FGA, while the Hawks only went for 70.
Bosh did a pretty good job slowing down Cousins while still being effective offensively. It's really increadible the job this player does every night on both ends of the floor, being the first one to step up defensively while also being the guy for us offensively, specially on key games. He might not be considered a superstar, but he really is to me. I gotta give him much of the credit for our teams success.
Rubio had also lot of work to do and a difficult game against both Parker and Kemba, but managed to run our team perfectly as he still poured his already 'typical' 18 points, 16 dimes and 6 steals in 33 minutes of action.
Finally, Belinelli got hurt in one of the games and will be out 4 days with a sore knee.

Back on track with back to back home wins.
Very happy with our balance attack, especially with 9 players with double digit scoring (vs. Philly)
Gotta be some kind of record.

Marcus Smart – 36 pts, 4 reb, 5 ast, 2 stl, 1 blk
Anthony Davis – 26 pts, 9 reb, 4 ast, 3 stl, 5 blk
Mike Dunleavy – 22 pts (4-4 3PT)
Greivis Vasquez – 22 pts, 4 reb, 10 ast
DeAndre Jordan – 11 pts, 17 reb, 2 blk
Easy win against the lowly Grizz. We gave up more points than I would have liked in this one, though. Marcus Smart and Anthony Davis were terrific again, combining to shooting 22-36 while Mike Dunleavy poured in 22 points on just 11 shots. Love Greivis Vasquez’s play off the bench, going for 22 & 10. We connected on 11-20 threes and it is very encouraging to see Marcus Smart hit four of his seven attempts from deep.

Poor offensive showing for us on our home court leads to our first home loss of the season. Pretty disappointed with how we played to be honest. We shot under 40% from the floor which isn’t like us at all. We got outscored from three 15-0 and that could have been the difference in this one.

W vs. DET
L vs. NYK
DET: This was a defensive battle, Okafor ended up having 16/17/2 and Stuckey/Pavlovic played well in place of Mathews/Barnes. We shot 36 FG% as a team which is horrid but held DET to 34 FG% collectively.
NYK: We had a lot of trouble containing Rubio and Bosh played a fantastic game on both ends. Not many players have given Cousins trouble this season but he did. On a positive note Parker had 23/2/10 and he'll have to keep that up now that he's the "man" at PG.
