Proposed Auto-Sit Rule For Trades
I know this isn't always possible, especially when teams have multiple trades firing on the same day, but can we implement a rule that says players involved in trades are automatically inactivated or set to 100 subout with all positions unchecked if at all possible? And if it's a case of multiple players involved making everyone impossible, at least the most valuable players in the trade?
I've seen a lot of teams not do this, and it frankly disturbs me to see it happen. I know if Marshall would have gotten hurt during Charlotte's 2 game sim tonight I would have flipped my lid (and yes I did ask if the DC could be changed, but apparently Hornets couldn't get to DDS in time to do it, which happens), and I think the same thing would have happened if other high profile players recently traded who played, such as Curry, had gotten injured in a sim they were to be traded after.

Re: Proposed Auto-Sit Rule For Trades
I was thinking about that recently, when I made that Hibbert / Lowry - Smith / Walker deal. If any of those got injured and it was a season ending injury it would have been really bad.
I'm all in for that idea. It's fairly reasonable, I mean, players would be packing their things, traveling from one city to another, getting adapted to the team he's going. So he's ineligible to play for his former team.

Isn't it an NBA rule as well? I swear I thought I read that somewhere.

I don't know. :/
Never read about it. But it may be a "code of behavior", I mean, it's very reasonable to sit a player who's going to be traded.

It's more of a courtesy move in the real NBA.
But, for us, I think I would be behind this rule.

I don't think it should be mandatory but it is VERY COURTEOUS.
1st game of season I sat Bargs prior to sending him to MIL while MIL played Gallo, I was praying he didn't get injured and checked DC 1st thing after the sim to make sure.
The David Lee/ Z Bo fiasco last season always comes to mind.

I'm not sure I'd be in favor of this as a rule, but I think it is certainly a courtesy thing that should be done all the time.

Definitely a good thing to do but it's probably an added item to worry about for simmers that GM's can take care of. Can always just send a quick PM to the other team asking them to sit them also.
