CSL Tonite! Storylines Show #1
Hi! I'm Mindy Mindy and welcome to CSL Tonite! Today we have Steve Smith, Dennis Scott, and Greg Anthony in studio and they're gonna discuss a couple of stories going on in the League. Guys... what's up?
Well Mindy, we're gonna start off talking DETROIT BASKETBALL!!! My oh my has this team stepped up, they're at 20-6 with losses only to the Knicks, the Bulls who beat them twice, the Rockets on the road, the Hawks, and LeBron James and the Pacers, all tremendous teams and if you look at it I think the Pistons who lead the Central Division is starting to show they're at the top of the class of the Eastern Conference. They have Carmelo Anthony who's averaging 24 and 6 and though he's not shooting it well, he is getting the job done. Then you have a vet like a Jameer Nelson and the young fella Brandon Knight in the backcourt who are both playing well, Knight at nearly 19pts a game THAT'S WHAT I'M TALKIN' ABOUT YOUNG FELLA, then of course you have the big guys, Mr. Andre "What you talkin' about Willis?" Drummond and Larry Sanders... these guys are defensive stalwarts in the paint and'll take it strong to the hole and get some easy baskets, they have the best fitting team in my opinion and I think they're gonna go all the way to the Finals.
Well it's hard to argue with you there Smitty but the rumor is they're looking to move Jameer with the rookie Perry Ellis for a PG upgrade and I'm not sure that's exactly what they need I mean, look to San Antonio and maybe inquire about a Danny Green since the Spurs look like they're cashing in their chips for a rebuild, maybe trade a Wilson Chandler and a 2nd RD Pick or two, get a guy like that in at SG who can also play some SF for 'em and I think that makes alot more sense than risking getting a new PG at this stage of the season although it's early, but at 20-6 I wouldn't risk what's working for something that may not be as effective unless it's a no brainer.
I couldn't agree more with you Dennis, why mess with the chemistry unless you're a chemistry teacher... well guys my story is Dwyane Wade... here's a guy putting up 24pts, 5rebs, 4asts, nearly 2blks, and 1stl a game and the team is still under .500 and they're looking to trade him due to his unhappiness in Philly and I gotta say I'm not understanding why exactly he hasn't been moved. I'm not sure if the calls aren't quite coming in or if the asking price is insanely high for a 32 yr old who is ending his prime likely but the fact remains he is playing at a high level and could possibly be in the discussion for MVP if he were in a winning situation but I just can't understand why he and Bynum cannot turn things around in Philly so it remains to be seen where Wade ends up but I don't expect to see him in a Philly uniform for much longer if they don't turn it around.
Some great storylines indeed... Well thanks guys, we've got a great slate of games scheduled so make sure to stay tuned for more analysis... thanks for watching!

Wade leads the league in turnovers with 4.8 per game and 120 on the year..not good at all.
Also think the asking price might be sky high.
Oh and Philly hasn't submitted a depth chart since Sim 11 and has a whopping total of 11 posts since joining a month ago. Don't think he'll be around much longer...

Well can't agree more with HG, even though the GM answered my PM like 2 weeks ago. Price tag for Wade may be a little bit too high.
About the Pistons, I think we match up with them having Brewer to stop Knight, George on Melo and Howard on Drummond. Still it's not easy to win against them and their success (not only the team, but the players success also due to playing on a system which fits them) is showing nothing is easy against this Pistons..

I would love to get a Danny Green on this team, but not sure I would want to give up a ton of talent to shake up this roster. I'm stuck in a somewhat tough spot with me wanting to make a move, but unsure as to whether it will hurt the chemistry of the team.
We're playing pretty good right now, but def have some holes that get exposed from time to time. Trying to patch them up is hard to do without assets to move, but I had a lot less before the Perry Ellis trade so its just a matter of if I make a move or not.
Thanks for the write-up Willy. Glad we are returning the Pistons somewhat to their glory days.
