Regular Season - Sim 24

Another road win, now at Orlando. Chris Paul dropped 38, Deron chipped in 21 and Biedrins had a surprisingly great offensive showing scoring 20 in 27 minutes.

Andrew Bogut was that guy for us this time around. He was 3 blocks away from a triple double and really abused Joakim Noah, forcing him to shoot 6 of 16 from the field. The rest of the team was pretty meh though. Love had his usual double double, Granger, McLemore, Franklin, and Lin all had double figures. Other than Bogut and Love, the entire team shot a poor percentage, as to be expected against a really good defensive team like the Bulls.

We forced Rose to shot 4/16 from the field, even if he did had 13 points and 13 assists, that's a win for us considering he had 49 points the last time we played. Tiagho shot 4/15, Tony Allen 2/7, but Joe Johnson destroyed Danny Granger scoring 22 points on 11 shots.

I guess this game was good for us because I had no expectation of beating the Bulls of all teams while missing both Chandler Parsons and Andray Blatche, but I guess we had enough depth to pull it off.

With an OKC win, we're still behind them in the division. We go to Miami next sim to play against KD who's simply unstoppable right now. It'll be a challenge missing Chandler Parsons.

Sully went into beast mode starting in place of the injured Oden, and he and McGary were awesome, but our perimeter players played awful on both ends of the court.

Really need to upgrade our perimeter defense. We lost this one by giving up so many 3 pointers and not making our shots at the line.

Due to the trade, we were pretty short-handed, but Lebron and Kobe were dominant in our 110-104 win over Miami. Lebron had 38 points and 14 assists starting at point guard (against Isaiah Thomas), Kobe put up 30 more, and Lance Stephenson made good use of his start and put up an efficient 20.

For Miami, Kevin Durant put up a game-high 41 points and 13 rebounds, but turned the ball more than the entire Pacers' starting five. Tony Parker will join the team and play

OKC 120 - 107 PHO

Another win (5th straight) against the new-looking Suns. Marshall has great effect in Jestorball as he lead their offense to a 49.5% shooting and fed the ball hard to the post as their big man combined for 27 FT attempts.
-> Kemba was just amazing. 26/7 with 2 stl and only 2 TOs. He was able to abuse Marshall all night long on defense. Great job.
-> Paul George with a good all-around game: 18pts 5 assist and 3 steals with only 1 TO. He's been improving and shot a great 3-4 from downtown.
-> Our front court fouled out. Yeah, Howard, Al and Smith combined for 18 fouls in 77 minutes. That hurt us all night long as we were not able to grab boards nor stop their front court.
-> Wtf just happened with Sullinger? 34/11 going 13-19 from the field. WOW.
-> Forgot to mention our 60% from deep (9-15). Anyone dare to zone us?   

Improved to 17-10 and we're not 8th in West anymore. But there are 2 huge games against Utah coming up next. We need to win at least 1 of them in order to stay competitive.
Ah, forgot to say. Trade incoming?

Had to change it so I could make the 3 team work. Just forgot to change it back.

30pt L to Portland, positive side is I'm more comfortable increasing Harden's mins now and re-insert Reggie Jackson back into the rotation after being out with a sore back.

W vs. LAL

We scored 124 points this game, beating the Lakers by 32. Thabo shutdown Beal and Cousins abused Pau on both ends but the story for us was Barnes putting up a very efficient 27/5 on Deng and forcing him into an 0-5 shooting night (4 FT made). Westbrook was held to 24 points on 38% by Parker who had 18 assists in his last game as a Hawk. 

This isn't the same team without Horford obviously so we were lucky in that regard.

Next up we battle WAS for control of the division.

Luke Ridnour – 16 points in 5 mins!!!

We couldn't attack the Pistons defense. 31 FG% and only 69 points. The return of badboys?

Tomorrow, I'll go to the beach (holidays) and we have 6 road games. Will the Nets be able to win some games without GM? 

Went into Brooklyn and our defense took care of the rest. They played us well defensively too, but we were able to shut them down for the most part. Melo had an off night, but the whole team stepped up for this win.

One thing is for sure though, Drummond is by far the most consistent player I have. No matter what everyone else does, he gets his double double and a few blocks in hand on efficient shooting. I can't remember having a more perfect player for my team in a sim league before.

Courtney Lee: 27 points, 4 steals, 4 rebounds

Another blowout home win for the Knicks. Strangely enough, both McGee and Bosh had an off night offensively, so this time Ricky Rubio had to step up and take care of the scoring too. He finished with a career high 39 points, but without stoping to share the ball as always (15 dimes), and once again 4 rebs shy of another TD.

The Raptors zoned us, but our backcourt players stepped up to the ocasion greatly from the 3PT line: Budinger 5/9, Lee 7/13 and Rubio 9/17 from beyond the arc, for a total 24/46 (52.2%) as a team

Yep, dared you to beat us from the outside and you did. Rubio was a monster.
