Round 1 - Pick 18 - Sacramento Kings
Picking for Dylan to move the draft along.
With the 18th pick in the 2014 CSL Draft, the Sacramento Kings select Glenn Robinson from Michigan.
Pick will be headed to BOS, then again reportedly to GSW.

GSW reportedly giving up Gorgui Dieng. Not a fan of the move for them at all, love Dieng as a long-term role playing backup C.
Robinson's a 3&D guy that can't shoot 3s IMO...
Yet another great move for BOS. They're really doing well in the draft.

With the 18th pick in the 2014 CSL Draft, the Sacramento Kings..no.. Boston Celtics...no..wait...what in the world is going on here ? Okay I think we've got it right now.
With the 18th pick, the Golden State Warriors select....
Glenn Robinson, Small Forward from The University of Michigan.
That's right, in a bizarre last minute trade, apparently the Warriors and Celtics came to an agreement that will send defensive specialist Gorgui Dieng to Boston in exchange for the rights to Glenn Robinson. Another move that will likely be questioned by absolutely everyone except for the Warriors themselves. As strong as Dieng may be defensively, let's face it, he was never going to get the proper minutes in Golden State in order to develop. His departure was inevitable. Now we have two Michigan alums paired together once again, but at the professional level. Trey Burke and Glenn Robinson will have the opportunity to chase another championship together. While the exact skill set Robinson will transition to the pros is a bit vague at the moment, we will know soon how productive he can be for this Warriors team chasing a title. If anyone is happy out their, it's definitely Glenn who is ecstatic to have the opportunity to play alongside Burke yet again.

I scouted him a few times but I really needed/was looking for a small forward that could stretch the D and shoot the three. Robinson didn't do that so I had to pass on him. I like the pick in and of itself. Could you have gotten more for Dieng? Maybe, but I don't think it was a bad trade by any means.

This is the basic reason I passed on him at 16.

I really liked what I saw from GRIII when I scouted him. Very good pick.
