Ramon Sessions Heads to Charlotte for Second Stint with Cats
Ramon Sessions announced today he will be signing with the Charlotte Bobcats. This will be his second stint with the Cats, as he played there for a portion of the 2012 CSL season.
"Just a great opportunity for me. Getting the chance to start for a team that went deep into the playoffs last year, how could I pass that up?" Sessions said in his statement.
The contract will be for four years, starting at $4 million and totaling around $17 million.

Hey, at least finding pictures that match will be easy.

I offered Ramon nope at the beginning of free agency, but because things didn't work out as planned, I had to retract that offer to up others.
Nice pickup.

Wolves only offered three years however, so the offers were very similar in total salary, plus Ramon will get the opportunity to start for the Cats.Jake0890 (MIN) wrote:I offered Ramon 6 mil per at the beginning of free agency, but because things didn't work out as planned, I had to retract that offer to up others. I guess he missed out because he decided to wait rather than accept my offer.

Thrilled to have Sessions start for us. His 3pt shooting will be huge against teams who zone us. We'll need to work on his turnovers, but he's only 28 and worth some pref work.

Ok, I've been sitting back reading posts and decided to chime in with my thoughts, especially on this.
I'm of the view Sessions is a money grabbing kinda guy, he's proven that irl and considering his track record with multiple teams I think it supports that due to him being traded alot.
3yrs/$18M to be a backup on former lotto team > 4yrs/$17M to start for former ECF and given his age I think he takes the money every single instance... however the Wolves stated they retracted their offer so I'm not sure what the issue is here unless he made an error in his post.

I think both of you misinterpreted what I was saying here. I was just letting everyone know what I offered, wasn't a dig on what he chose or what Ballers Inc did. They made the right decision because he gets to start, and in the end, I couldn't even afford him. Once the price on Bogut rose, I retracted my 6 mil offer to him.
No hard feelings or anything like that.

Very well explained, Jake.
In the end, this deal makes sense for everyone.

I don't think it's appropriate to announce what we "offer" for players after they sign (not just you jake I've seen several others do it).
All it does is cause issues instead of addressing them and I'm part of it cause I actually responded.
I'm a fall back and refrain from the "agent vs GM" hooplah...
As far as Sessions signing, I thought Sun Scorched said they were gunning for Miami with their $24M in capspace...

Ah, I hear you. My bad, I think it's kind of interesting to see who offered what to whom, so I threw it out there.

You should be able to say that you were targeting a player, but no need to announce the exact details of it.

Yeah certainly agree with this, I think the details kinda put the PA's in an awkward position of having to justify their decision even though they already touch on it in the FA announcement.
