So far clarification, after inputting Player Instructions for selected player for 1mth, at the end of 1mth does the player revert back to his previous shot preferences?
Thanks and appreciate the knowledge as always Jamal!
No. The change is locked in, unless you issue another player instruction that affects it.

Depends on if the player has potential in that area or not. There's current and potential ratings for the shooting ratings like there are everything else.

So, what's the difference between issuing a instruction for a week or for a month, as they both are gonna last "forever" (till you give them another instruction)?

Two things:
1. The change is much smaller doing it a week as opposed to a month.
2. At least in DDS 1 and DDS 2, if you have more than 10 player instructions per team, it will cause the game to crash at the end of the season. I'm not sure if this was changed for DDS 3 or not, though my guess is probably not, because otherwise people could tweak their entire team to be max-efficiency guys in a single season or two, and that's just unrealistic.

If he's prefering OS and you instruct him to more IS (driving or something) one week will lower his prefernces less compared to one month.
If you telling him one week to shoot less it wont affect his habits as much as if you tell him the same for one month

Really nice to know that, thanks a lot
I was afraid of using instructions but I'll give it a try sooner rather than later. With 10 instructions per season, I can maybe waste 2 or 3 to make some tests

Haha, no, that was the only thing I knew for sure.
Jamal and Jestor are the brains. Only guys with names starting with J are masters of DDS, not the guys with the J in the end, hehe:D

Got it, now I have a much more complete understanding of Player Instructions (among other things related to this game) thanks to the knowledge of Jamal and yourself so I really appreciate that and thanks to dapralbe for bringing up the subject.

Fair enough, makes a lot of sense looking that way.
Thanks a lot Dennis, Jamal and Jestor

Re: Regular Season - Sim 4
Yeah, a week only makes a small change in the player preference, a month makes a bigger change.

Widely picked as the bottom of the barrel team in the Central division, the Bucks have jumped out to a 5-2 overall record. Our shining star thus far as been Jeff Teague, who has emerged as our most consistent scorer and defender. We have also established a rotation we are happy with, using Teague/Harrison/Anderson/Faried/Bargnani with Thompson/Frye as our main bench contributors. We are thrilled with Harrison's early production, and our move to post up Faried more is paying dividends as well. We are anxious to see if our early success carries on for the season.

Teague has been a huge loss for us. Good to see him doing well.

MKE needs is a "Jonas/Kanter" type from being one of the best young cores in the league. Harrison/Anderson/Faried is dynamic and Teague seems to really be playing well right now.
