BT's Rankings
I did these at the old forums but gave them the CSL touch. Gives you a little bit of an insight if you're playing above or below where you should be and you're recent play (over the last 10 games). Formula below for those not familiar with them.
I used an excel to BBCode table generator as no way I was typing all that out. Unfortunately, it makes some of the columns off center but if you follow the top titles, you should then be able to match up the title with the number. At least it's something I guess.
Took this from here: http://espn.go.com/nba/hollinger/powerrankings
RATING = (((SOS-0.5)/0.037)*0.67) + (((SOSL10-0.5)/0.037)*0.33) + 100 + (0.67*(MARG+(((ROAD-HOME)*3.5)/(GAMES))) + (0.33*(MARGL10+(((ROAD10-HOME10)*3.5)/(10)))))
SOS = Season win/loss percentage of team's opponents, expressed as a decimal (e.g., .500)
SOSL10 = Season win/loss percentage of team's last 10 opponents, expressed as a decimal (e.g., .500)
MARG = Team's average scoring margin
MARGL10 = Team's average scoring margin over the last 10 games
HOME = Team's home games
HOMEL10 = Team's home games over the last 10 games
ROAD = Team's road games
ROADL10 = Team's road games over the last 10 games
GAMES = Team's total games

Re: BT's Rankings
hey, you could share this as an excel table but without us being able to edit it just like league CBA, just for reading. Would be nice as it seems that way some info is lost at the right side of the page..

Re: BT's Rankings
Interesting to see Utah has had the easiest strength of schedule.
But like Marcos said, itd be nice to get this as a downloadable excel file.

Re: BT's Rankings
Damn..hate to see us at 12 but yeah, our strength of schedule has been rather easy...although we did beat Portland twice so not sure how they're above us at 4-6...I guess they have had the toughest schedule by far though.
Not surprised Pelicans are at #2 though.

Re: BT's Rankings
We've been facing a though schedule so far, but we're clearly under-performing.
18 is a fair spot for us at the moment. hope to climb those rankings!

Re: BT's Rankings
Wow, that looks surprisingly accurate for the most part for a purely numbers based ranking. Thanks for this.

Re: BT's Rankings
Yeah, put it in an excel sheet, screenshot it, and post that. Way easier to read. But I like the idea a lot man!

Re: BT's Rankings
Third best rating for the Knicks!
Looks like at least numbers showing some love for our team.
Loving that second best margin of the league at 11.5: 116.3(3rd best) - 104.8(14th best) ).
Great job man!

Re: BT's Rankings
Based on this we've had the third toughest schedule so far. Considering were one or the least talented teams AND had a super tough schedule to begin, it was recipe for disaster and set us up for this 1-10 start. Hopefully it gets a little better as we get farther into the season.
Re: BT's Rankings
Wow great! Utah leader, i think that because only play four at home and eight on the road

Re: BT's Rankings
Utah is playing well. We can definitely step it up a bit though in certain areas.
