Re: Offseason Questions
If you want a player who isn't represented, PM me and Dylan and we'll add him to an agency.
Also, yes, you will have final word on your RFAs.
We'll have an answer about Stuckey soon.

Re: Offseason Questions
We should be good now. Greivis Vasquez will now be represented by Roc Nation. Sterling Cooper will represent Stuckey.
Free agency is open. People can make offers. I will be posting a list shortly of those who do not have a MLE.

Re: Offseason Questions
Also, are there any ground rules? Like can you make as many offers you want?

I'm assuming you can make as many as you want as long as you don't go over the cap, right? Like no overlapping offers.

Re: Offseason Questions
You can make as many offers as you want. But keep in mind your salary situation when doing so. If you make overlapping offers, and an agent tells you Player A wants to sign with you, but you then have to deal with other agencies, that agency could then back out because they didn't feel you were committed to signing that player.

From the CBA:
3.2 - Mid-Level Exception (MLE):
Once a year, teams can use a mid-level exception (MLE) to sign a player to a contract for a specified maximum amount. The amount of the MLE and its duration depend on the team's cap status. The MLE is $5 million for a duration of four years for teams that are over the cap either before or after the signing, but did not pay a luxury tax in the previous season. Teams without cap room that paid tax in the previous season have an MLE of $3 million with a three-year duration. Teams with cap room, previously ineligible for the MLE, have a new MLE of $2.5 million with a two-year duration.
Over the cap, over the tax
Amount: 3,100,000
Years: 3
Raises: 3%
Over the cap, under the tax
Amount: 5,000,000
Years: 4
Raises: 3%
Under the cap, under the tax, but less than 2.5 in cap space.
Amount: 2,500,000
Years: 2
Raises: 3%
Re: Offseason Questions
Thanks Dylan - I'm an idiot. Thought I adjusted with the cap.

Let the agent know your intention to sign and trade the player and let the agent know the destination you intend to trade him to as well.

Re: Offseason Questions
Can I still renounce any CAP Hold mt team has? It's a little bit difficult to know about some things I need to know, so if any GM has a little bit of time to help me I'd be very thankful
Please if you can help send a PM and I'll reply With some questions! Thanks a lot!

Re: Offseason Questions
Pretty sure you can renounce cap holds at any time throughout free agency. Just go here (https://csleague.forumotion.com/t310-contract-decisions-thread) and post it.

So if I wanted to sign-and-trade Vasquez, I need to negotiate with the agent and then tell him he will end up on another team?

You'd need to tell the agent on the front end - could be a waste of time otherwise. They need to make sure the other team check all of the boxes your team (hopefully) already does.

Re: Offseason Questions
Sorry for so many questions, but...
When/how often will free agency rumors be released?
And is there any minimum requirement for the amount of days agents have to wait to see what offers come in before they can sign anybody?

Yeah, are these agents running some type of super secret squirrel/illuminati type business or what?
