2014 Swish Mock Draft - Pick #10 (PHX)
With the 10th overall pick in the 2014 Swish Mock Draft, the Phoenix Suns select AJ Hammons from Purdue.
The Phoenix Suns will come out of this draft with flying colors if they can pick up as legit a big man as Hammons with their second first round pick. With Kemba Walker, Andrew Harrison, and Otto Porter, a great offensive big man fits in very nicely. Hammons has been a bit of an enigma throughout the season. After failing to get any spotlight early in the season, he caught fire towards the middle, then fell all the way back again before seeing his draft stock rise during the Combine.
Either way, the Suns will be very lucky if the draft falls this way for them.

Haha, well I don't think he can smokescreen since thats not his job (although he does have the 14th overall pick) but his job is to make some difference in opinion between Swish and MSN-BC so that the people who didn't scout as much have more uncertainty to go off of. OP doesn't have the ability to heavily scout all of these players throughout the season so some of this is based on perception as well. Either way, its decent information to have.

Trust in SWISH guys! I go off the media scouting spreadsheets provided to me by Myles. I also add a bit of a personal touch from my own scouting.
Also I have no real reason to smokescreen, especially this early since I probably won't have #14 by the draft...
It's up to you guys to trust in SWISH or not. You won't regret it.

I don't have a read on Hammons but he has been up and down all season long. Wouldn't surprise me to see someone jump on him in the top-10 after some of the articles we have seen about him.

PHX is better off taking Randle at #3 and Harris at #10 even though Harris has seen his stock fall some. Even if they go Harrison at #3, Roberson makes more sense I think. Kemba/Harrison/Otto is a ball dominant perimeter, adding an offensive minded big that needs touches is risky.

Hammons would be interesting for PHX, but I agree with BI. Randle/Harris would make a bit more sense to me.

I'm pretty confident I know who I want / who I'm taking at 3, assuming picks 1 & 2 are locks. As far as #10 goes, should be moved before draft time. Don't have enough scouting to make a confident pick.

In OP we trust (at least most of the time, haha)!
