2014 Swish Mock Draft - Pick #13 (SAS)

With the 13th overall pick in the 2014 Swish Mock Draft, the San Antonio Spurs select Andre Roberson from Colorado.



The Spurs are in a good position right now with a nice blend of youth and veterans. With Ty Lawson, Kawhi Leonard, and Ekpe Udoh on board, another big man to complement Udoh down the line would be a good move. Anderson's an interesting prospect because he has the potential to do a lot of things on the floor. He looks to be a much better ready-now rebounder than initially thought, and that could fit well next to less-than-spectacular rebounder like Udoh.

I like Roberson's game and he could turn into a great all-around PF.

Really not a fan of Roberson, and definitely not in the lottery.

Well, keep in mind mock drafts and drafting in general will always be subjective. It's not always about overall potential, but the different traits and attributes that some may value more highly over others.

Even if all the rookies were released in the game now for everyone to see, there wouldn't be a consensus draft, because it really depends on the drafter, their needs, and what they value in a player.

It's like how you and I disagreed on Lin being a good PG. Even if we know his ratings and what he's done in the league, we can still disagree on his perceived value.

I like the discussion and if any of you disagree, you should definitely voice your opinions. The more that happens, the more realistic the whole drafting thing becomes.

Although, in the end, who would I trust? The guy with no pick/connection to the draft and scouting media information from Myles, or a guy who owns a first and is only going off of his scouting info?
