Rockets Report: "Ross-ket" Boost
Rockets GF Terrence Ross sinks the floater as Rockets beat Wizards 110-95
In a game where SF Andre Iguodala was plagued with foul trouble, it was 3rd year GF reserve Terrence Ross who stepped in and had a huge night posting 33pts on 12-15 shots, going 7-7 from the FT line, knocking down 2-5 3pt shot attempts, while also garnering 8rebs, 4blks, 1stl, and 1ast, clearly his best effort as a member of the Rockets showing why GM WillyJakkz was very high on gaining him in a trade during the 2012 season which sent Carmelo Anthony to the Mavs in exchange for JaVale McGee, Danilo Gallinari (who has since returned to Houston) along with the Mavs 2013 1st Rd Pick which was subsequently packaged with then Rocket players Jerry Stackhouse, Rasheed Wallace, and the Rockets 2015 1st (Top 8 Protected) to the Toronto Raptors in exchange for Ross.
We made that move and haven't looked back since. He's coming along nicely and we certainly look for him to contribute more as the season progresses. - GM WillyJakkz
It's been a real grind and struggle so far this season as Coach finds more minutes for me and uh, I just hope I can keep it up and stay healthy ya know... I went through this last season where I started out well then went through an injury and sat out for a month and a half so hopefully I'll have better luck this year... I'm good, my arm is a little sore from getting the opportunity to shoot more and from defending but I'll be alright... Alright thanks.
The Rockets who were led by James Harden with 36 pts will be heading to Orlando tonight to take on rookie sensation Andrew Wiggins in a battle which could be featuring the League MVP vs the Rookie of the Year should be a stellar matchup while also there is word the Rockets have agreed to an extension with RFA Tristan Thompson.
We expect more details likely within the next few days.

big game by Ross. Great to have a player of his caliber coming off the bench. I'm sure there will be more performances like that this season

Would be a great starter on my team along George at either wing spot.
But I may not have what it takes to bring this guy here :/

Great option for when either Harden or Iguodala get into foul trouble or, even worse, injured.

Ooh, that pun is painful.
Ross is a perfect 6th man off the bench. Clearly he doesn't have much problem scoring when Iggy and Harden aren't playing their best either. Its hard to guard a 3 headed monster on the wing like the one you have.

Ross developed nicely for you, he's in a good role right now and as he develops he could end up starting when Iggy steps down.

Yeah I tried to come up with the worst pun I could think of, like Austin Powers pun type of bad.

Appreciate it, he's been one of my favorite projects by far (developing him) and could actually be the starter sooner rather than later...
